Dear ANLC,
I entitle this Story the Miracle of Judah! Walking in the doors of ANLC has changed our lives forever. From the moment I picked up the phone I knew God had a special plan and purpose to show his unconditional Love. Danny and I prayed for fourteen years for Judah and loved him every step of the way. Many might say how can you Love something you cant see or don’t have, but we say Faith and great love made it to the day it would be our turn.
We contacted ANLC in March, and by the end of March we had hired them and our journey begin. Shortly after we were put on the Internet, within two weeks we were picked, and given the news our child would be born in a few weeks. Closer to the due date we flew into California where Marie Curry greeted us with so much love. We met our birthmother, and even registered her at the hospital. The day that our child was going to be born she changed her mind. I will never forget the look in Marie’s eyes as she told us the news. I remember saying “I am going to praise God whether I walk out of here with a baby or not, because I know in whom I serve and he is a faithful God.”
The flight back was empty and lonely, but I knew it was for a reason, and that through our suffering someone would obtain his or her miracle. Exactly a week later to the time and day Marie called and said there was a baby going to be born in Miami Florida, and the birthmother didn’t want to choose the parents. And the firm had chosen us. I watched God turn our weeping into joy within a week. Our son was born on June 16, 2006. When we walked into the room I saw my baby boy waiting for me, as I had waited for him all my life. The birthmother took one look at me and said, “I didn’t want to pick the parents, because I wanted God to pick them.” She said, “The moment I looked at you I knew you were his mother.” We shared the most wonderful few days together, and the love we shared will be imprinted in my heart forever. I encourage all to believe there is nothing impossible for God, and to those who believe. Judah Jeremiah Duran is our miracle, and ANLC and Marie Curry made it possible.
