Dear Adoption Network Law Center,
This letter is long overdue, so please forgive us, but we’ve just been too busy adoring our son Anthony to do anything else!
I can’t imagine how many letters you get every day from people you’ve helped. “Thank you” just doesn’t seem to express how we feel. It had been so long since we had real joy in our lives, and now I just feel like we’re bursting at the seams with love!
You know already, I’m sure, how wonderful your staff members are. I will never forget my first phone call with Adoption Network Law Center. It was the same day we found out that invitro was perhaps our only choice, and a slim one at that. I didn’t want to speak to anyone - not my friends, not my family. But that night, I ended up having one of the best conversations of my life with a total stranger. Judi Ireland literally talked me away from the ledge and gave me back my hope. She never tired of my endless questions, and she held my hand through the various steps. Her calm demeanor was a lifesaver.
Then I got the call from Judy Rocca saying we were matched. Judy was so supportive as we prepared to talk with (our appropriately named birthmother) Angel. Both my husband and I were still in shock, but Judy helped us focus and most importantly, relax. It just couldn’t have gone any smoother!
Then Kathy Howard saw us through the homestretch. There is no way we could have cut through all the red tape without Kathy. No matter what hour of the day, we could rely on Kathy to be available, unbelievably positive and always be there with a solution.
I can’t believe that I’ve never met these wonderful women in person, but we are forever grateful for how they took care of us during such a vulnerable time in our lives.
Now on to the most important stuff! Our son is beautiful! (As you can see from the enclosed picture.) He just turned three months and is smiling, cooing and reaching out to grab things. Being the first grandchild on both sides, he’s redefined the word spoiled! Everyone loves him. I stay in touch with Angel via e-mail and send her pictures every couple of weeks. It really is amazing how we were given the baby that was perfect for us.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for dedicating your lives to spreading joy. Thank you for finding such wonderful people to work for you. And thank you for giving us our son.
