Birthmother Outreach
Adoption Network Law Center is a leading Internet advertiser of adoption services, with prominent advertising campaigns on MSN, Yahoo, Google, Lycos,
Altavista and many specific adoption sites. In addition, Adoption Network Law Center's professional staff contacts thousands of health and social services organizations
each year to reach potential birthparents.
- Adoptive Parents
Intake
Adoption Network Law Center assesses the desires and the objectives of
each adoption. Preferences may include ethnic background of birthparents,
religious preferences, birthmother's support, openness of relationship with
birthparent(s), etc.
- Monitoring Online Birthmother Activity
Adoptive families can now monitor the online activity of Birthmothers visiting their personal
website to gain valuable information
- Birthmother Screening
Process
Handling the initial call from a Birthmother is
a very emotional and sensitive moment. Adoption
Network Law Center counselors strive to build trust
in the Birthmother, assuring that her sensitive
needs will be met. Adoption Network Law Center will
then set up comprehensive meetings with each Birthmother
to determine her commitment level and explain the
adoption process.
- Birthmother Background Information
After the birthmother's selection, Adoption Network Law Center will then
provide the selected family with the background information on the
birthparents. This information will include: age of birthmother, ethnicity,
complexion, hair color, weight, height, education, birthfather situation,
religion, support requirements (if any), gestational period, etc.
- Meeting Your
Birthmother
Adoption Network Law Center will guide all Adoptive
Parents through the match meeting (or phone conference)
with the Birthmother. Adoption Network Law Center's Adoptive Couple
Handbook will detail what to bring to the match
meeting, what questions to ask or not ask, and the
type of questions to ask a counselor both before
and after the initial meeting with the Birthmother.
- Birthmother
Requirements
Adoption Network Law Center will coordinate all meetings between
the Birthmother and Adoptive Parents and communicate all status developments as
they arise.
- Birthmother's Grief
After the birth, Adoption Network Law Center will follow up with the Birthmother for as
long as she requests our participation. Adoption Network Law Center will counsel the
Birthmother and Adoptive Parents regarding an ongoing relationship with the
Adoptive Parent and child, if this decision is made. Every effort is made to
treat the Birthmother with respect and tenderness.
- Reputable Adoption Professionals
Adoption Network Law Center provides information on many adoption attorneys, agencies and adoption service providers.
Adoption Network Law Center does not receive any referral fees from any of these providers.
- Hospital Discharge
An
Adoption Network Law Center Counselor will be at the hospital during delivery and
discharge when location and circumstances permit. These are highly emotional
moments when caring and professional guidance helps greatly. Adoption Network Law Center and
its counselors are there for Adoptive Families throughout this journey.
- Several Funding Resources
Our selection of financial services offers highly competitive loan programs designed to provide peace of mind. While it's far from ideal to borrow money for an adoption, adoptive families may find a loan necessary to cover the larger, more immediate expenses. In some cases, you may
be able to pay the loan back quickly once you receive a tax credit or are
reimbursed by your employer or the military.
This information is provided for your benefit. Adoption Network Law Center does not receive or pay any fees or commissions to any vendor of financial services listed on this website.
