Adoption Network Law Center assesses the desires and the objectives of each adoption. Preferences may include ethnic background of Birthparent(s), religious preferences, Birthmother's support, openness of relationship with Birthparent(s), etc. ANLC will then discuss reasons why adoption is being considered, review the selection and matchmaking process and assist prospective parents in completing the required Confidential Questionnaire.

Adoptive Parent(s) Profile
At Adoption Network Law Center, an adoptive parent's commitment to providing a warm and loving family is what counts, there are no arbitrary principles regarding:
- Age
- Marital Status
- Income
- Geographic Location
- Religion
- Ethnicity
- Health
Many Adoptive Parents fear that they will not be chosen by a Birthparent unless they meet an ideal set of standards. In truth, most Birthparents are not concerned with age, religion or other criteria. They see your letters, and usually connect with profiles because of particular shared feelings and values. ANLC will assist you in preparing a personal profile to attract the attention of Birthparent(s) who share common values.
Adoption Network Law Center’s team of quality professionals always provide support in dealing with the reality of infertility and the prospect of an adoption placement. So much information given to couples in the outside world is slighted and does not deal with the real fears and anxieties that everyone has regarding the adoption process.
Adoption Network Law Center embraces and enthusiastically celebrates the Birthmother(s) who have courageously come forth to place their child for adoption, making an Adoptive Parent(s) dream come true. Birthmothers should be applauded for their unselfishness, contentment with their decision and for the satisfaction they display in knowing they have chosen a wonderful family to provide their baby with a stable life. This unselfishness began with the Birthmother’s loving desire to see to it that her baby is given the best.
However, waiting for the right Birthparent(s) can be more challenging if the Adoptive Parent(s):
- Already have many children
- Are over the age of 50
- Have limited financial support for a Birthmother
- Have a nontraditional lifestyle
- Will only adopt a specific gender
- Are extremely particular about a Birthmother’s appearance or lifestyle
The typical Birthmother usually:
- Is in the last trimester of her pregnancy
- Is typically in good health and may have had some prenatal care
- Does not use drugs or alcohol and she tests negative for HIV and Hepatitis C
- Is usually between 18 to 30 years of age
- Is often already parenting at least one other child, and has little financial or emotional support
- Is nervous about the adoption process and concerned what the child will think of her for choosing adoption
- Has a goal to find a stable family to love her baby forever. The thought of foster care frightens her
- Fears that the Adoptive Parent(s) will back out of her adoption plan. Be understanding and supportive of the anxiety that may result from this fear
