When you want to think about the past, touch a rock. When you want to think about the present, touch a flower. When you want to think about the future, touch a child."

Handling the initial call from a Birthmother is a very emotional and sensitive moment. Adoption Network Law Center Adoption Advisors strive to build trust in the Birthmother,
assuring that her sensitive needs will be met. Adoption Network Law Center will then set up comprehensive meetings with each Birthmother to determine her commitment level and explain the adoption process.
The meetings are designed to achieve the following:
- Obtain the Birthparent(s) information (health background), if available.
- Secure all medical records on the pregnancy as soon as reasonably possible.
- Medical records releases will be signed by the Birthmother so Adoption Network Law Center can receive tests on drug,
alcohol, HIV, Hepatitis and other exam results.
- Obtain statistical information, ethnic background, social history and type of Adoptive Parent(s) the Birthparent(s) are seeking.
- Receipt of verification of Birthmother pregnancy.
