Kris, the youngest of eight children, was born and raised on Eastern Long Island. Setting her own path, Kris attended the University
of California, Berkeley, and earned a degree in Political Science. With her interest in advocacy developing, Kris then went on to
receive her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994.
Kris' legal experience in matters of the family is diverse and extensive. As a Law Clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney, she
tried numerous paternity and child support trials. As a licensed attorney in California, Kris served as counsel for the Juvenile Defenders
Office in Orange County, California, where she represented parents in all phases of dependency litigation.
She then became a court-appointed attorney, representing juveniles in criminal matters. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Kris, for over a decade, lectured throughout the United States on all subjects of the Multi-state Bar Exam and counseled thousands of students on exam strategy and efficient study techniques. Kris currently resides in Southern California along with her husband and their three daughters. Her ties to the community are deep and far-reaching.
Kris is active in her local community and school district. She currently serves as a PTA legislative representative where she advocates for improvements in public education. In addition to coaching her daughter's softball team, Kris also serves as co-captain of Team Trudy - a team of runners dedicated to raising money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer research in honor of her late Mother. When not cheering on her daughters at softball games and swim meets, Kris can be found perfecting her equestrian skills or training for her next triathlon or 1/2 marathon.
