Steven and Stephanie
Nickname(s): Steve and Stephanie

Dear Birthmother,

Hello and thank you for considering us.  Hopefully, after reading our letter, you will be able to see your child in a life that is filled with love and laughter.  We are Stephanie and Steve.  We have a wonderful and loving son, Gabriel, and an adorable personable mutt we call, Cosby.  We love being parents and would love our family to grow.  Our number one goal is to raise children in a loving and happy home.

About Us:  Steve and I met in 1996 through his younger brother, Vinny, the matchmaker.  Before we married, in 1997, we both expressed a love for children and couldn’t wait to start a family of our own.  We still love each other very much and have a happy life together.  We have made a conscious decision to make sure our love is stronger than any disagreement we may have.  I guess that we have learned about compromise - it's better to bend than to break.

About Stephanie:  Stephanie is truly a unique and special person.  She is easy to be around.  She has a lot of friends because of her caring and supportive attitude.  She is always there for her friends to provide unconditional love and support.  She volunteers with charitable organizations, gardens and bakes, although her number one priority is to be a wonderful mother to Gabriel.  When we became parents, Stephanie decided to stay home while I went to work.  Maybe this is “old-fashioned”, but this is how we have decided to raise a family.

About Steve:  Steve is a wonderful man. He is compassionate, caring, friendly and a lot of fun to be around. He was very active in art when he was growing up. As a result, he became an architect.  He loves his job and makes a big impact on the lives of the people he does projects for.  When he has spare time he plays his guitar or thinks of some new Italian dish we can prepare together for dinner.  He is a great father to our son, Gabriel.  He is a good listener, is patient and supportive, and lives the way he wants Gabriel to live.

About Gabriel:  Gabriel will be a great brother.  He is shy, gentle and kind-hearted.  He is a very giving child.  He is artistic and has a good musical ear.  He has a great sense of humor.  If he isn't laughing, he is making either his friends or us laugh.  He usually has a big smile on his face.  He often talks about having a sibling with whom he can grow up and share his fun and games.

About Home and Life:  We live in a wonderful home in an old historic town located on the water. Our town offers great schools and countless activities for children. We take vacations every year.  We always go to the beach for a week.  Every other year we will go to a different part of the United States to experience our great nation. Your son/daughter will have all the opportunities he/she will need to explore her interests, whatever they might be - travel, music, sports, art, education or daydreaming.  He/she will be loved as much as we love our son.  His/her life will be filled with adventures and challenges, with his/her family always by his/her side.  He/she will be a part of our family always and forever.  In our family we have a saying:  Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything.

About You:  We won't pretend to know how you feel or how hard it must be to make this decision.  We do know that you have read through this letter and you might have a smile on your face with the thought that this might be the family where your child can find a home.  If and when we meet, please know that we will be as nervous as you, but we will have already grown very fond of you.  How could we not.  You will be making us happy beyond what our words could describe.
