Dear Birthmother,

 

We admire the love you have for your baby girl as well as respect your decision to choose life for your child. Your courage and unselfishness are traits you should be very proud of. By reading our letter, we hope you will see how much love and support your daughter will receive in our home, should you select us as parents for this precious child.

 

Our names are Dawn and Rich, and we met in college. We became instant friends and got married three years after college graduation. We have two wonderful sons who bring so much excitement into our family. We have been so fortunate to have experienced both the miracles of birth and adoption with our sons and we are so excited to have the opportunity to complete our family, through the adoption of a precious baby girl!

 

Both of us come from happy, loving and supportive families with whom we spend much time with throughout the year. Birthdays are special as we always take time to celebrate that very important day for every member of the family. Most weekends are spent with family and friends participating in outdoor activities - like BBQ’s or time at the family lake house. Each Sunday night is also special as we go to Grandma’s house to eat hamburgers! Our neighborhood is full of young families! We love swimming, fishing, hiking nature trails and playing tennis together all within our own neighborhood.

 

Dawn has a zest for life – always smiling! She truly brightens everyone’s day as she enjoys each day to the fullest making the most of every minute. Dawn is a great listener and provides understanding and support to others in need. Her favorite time is spent with family and she loves spending time with our boys! Dawn grew up riding horses and hopes to someday get our kids involved in horseback riding. She also enjoys spending time outside, shopping and home decorating.

 

Rich is a very loving husband and father whose primary goal is to provide happiness and stability for his family. He is very dedicated and loyal to me, our children, extended family, our friends as well as to his career. He is a very kind, thoughtful, honest, hard-working person with a good sense of humor. Rich will always go out of his way to help someone – whether a friend or a complete stranger. Rich also enjoys watching professional sports, and playing golf and games of ice hockey with his three brothers.

 

Our families and friends are so supportive and excited about our decision to adopt again! Because of this, we know that these additional people will provide so much love and affection to your baby girl. We look forward to sharing our lives and experiences with your child and will always share that your plan for adoption was made out of your love and concern for her future. Please know that we will never forget the gift you have given us and we will do our best to provide your child the very best that life can offer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time as you make this important decision.
