Whitney and Regina
Nickname(s): Whit and Gina
Dear Birthmother,
I am writing you today about what is in my heart, even though I haven’t met you. Whitney and I have been praying for a long time to have another child, and even with the help of a wonderful team of doctors, and the prayers of a lot of loved ones, we have been unable to conceive again. We would be thrilled and overjoyed to be considered by you as the adoptive parents of your baby because we have so much love to give. Being parents is by far the greatest joy of our lives, and we would feel very blessed to bring your baby into our family. We know this must be a very emotional choice for you, and we ask God to look after you during this difficult time.
Whit and I were co-workers and good friends for several years before we became a couple. We lost touch when we left our jobs and bumped into each other years later in California. When Whitney asked me out for coffee, it turned into an hours-long conversation about our lives, dreams, hopes and beliefs. We found that we shared so much in common, and had so much to talk about, and we fell in love. Now after 10 years of marriage, we find that we are not only a married couple that is happily in love, we are also best friends. We know each other very well, love spending time together, and have shared so much joy in our 10 years of marriage.
Whitney (from Gina) has the most beautiful heart of anyone I know. He is the kind of person that all animals and children are naturally drawn to because they sense his kindness and wonderful spirit. Whit is the one who is always willing to offer a hand to help others, and he gives of himself unselfishly, asking nothing in return. He is a loving and devoted husband and father. Since Whitney runs his general contracting company from home, he is able to spend a lot of fun time with our son Jack and me. I feel lucky to be married to someone who loves life and loves to have fun, but who is also hardworking and devoted to his family and home.
Gina (from Whitney) is an amazing friend, wife and mother. She has a sunny disposition, and a great sense of humor. Her zest for life and love of the outdoors is unmatched by anyone else I’ve ever met! People have always been drawn to her and she loves her family and friends deeply. Her role as mother is the core of our household and she has loved that role more than anything else in her life. Gina has a well-established position in a national recruiting firm, and is thrilled to be able to work a large portion of time from home. When not working, she spends her time taking our son to the playground, library, or pool, to play baseball or to visit friends.
We love spending time with our close-knit, fun-loving parents, aunts, uncles and cousins! Gina has 25 cousins as her mother was one of 10 children, so we have a large and loving extended family. Three of these 25 cousins were adopted at birth, so our extended family is very accepting of adoption and eager for us to adopt our little baby. They can’t wait!
We live in a four bedroom, three bathroom home in one of the loveliest communities in the country. Our home is surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains and the ocean, and is filled with the voices of our son, friends and family, an occasional dog bark, and a few meows! Our community is very family-oriented, with great schools, beautiful parks, and caring neighbors. We are very blessed to be here. Our family loves to explore the local nature trails, tend to the flower garden, and cook for family and friends. It’s the love and laughter in our home that make it a happy place to live.
Please know that the joy you would be giving us in fulfilling our dream of having another child would be returned to you one hundred times over in knowing your baby would be in a safe and happy home with lots of opportunity for the future. I wish you peace and strength in your decision. Best wishes to you and God Bless You!
Love,
Gina and Whitney
