Robert and Kaleen
Nickname(s): Bob and Kaleen

Dear Mommy to Be,

“The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.” Pablo Casals. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to come into our hearts. We are Bob and Kaleen and we are blessed to meet you. We cannot imagine the huge decision you have before you, but you are a very brave and wonderful person to choose life for your baby. Bob and I are hoping beyond hopes to expand our loving family of two biological children, Robert and Lillian. Robert is five years old and Lillian is three years old. Our hearts are wide open and our arms are just waiting to embrace your baby. We will provide a loving, warm, and secure home for the baby. We have five years experience at parenting. We will love your child as our own, unconditionally.

Bob and I are both physicians, though I am now a stay-at-home mommy. Bob is both a highly educated pediatrician and an adult medicine doctor. Bob works 32 hours a week. He has off every Wednesday and weekend giving him tons of time to spend with the children. I am a child and adult psychiatrist. I worked for 8 years before giving up a very successful practice to stay at home with our children. I am thrilled and honored to be at home.

Bob and I have been happily married since 1997. We met at work in a hospital in 1994. He is the oldest of four children. I am the second youngest of six children. Having many siblings made us patient, fun-loving, and quick-to-share people. Bob’s parents were married 35 years until his dad passed away. My parents have been married for over 50 years. Bob and I have a wonderful, happy, stable marriage because we are best friends who respect each other. We have 13 nieces and nephews whom we see regularly. Our families are thrilled that we are adopting.

Bob and I have two beautiful children from God. They are the joy of our lives. They love each other and are excited at the hope of becoming a big brother and a big sister. They ask frequently, “When are we going to get HUGGY”. They call the baby we dream of having HUGGY because this baby will be showered with hugs and kisses. Robert is a smart energetic boy who loves reading, playing T-ball, painting, playing soccer, and writing music. Lily is a little doll who loves to read, take tap dance lessons, dance ballet at recitals, and blow bubbles. All of our time is spent with them. We enjoy taking walks, reading to them, traveling, hugging, and being wrapped in love. We love going to see the Phillies, Elmo Live, Disney on Ice, The Doodlebops in concert, Ralph concerts, and Wiggles concerts; and we love going to amusement parks.

We are strong Christians and have all been baptized Catholic. Bob and I attended private Christian schools through grade school and high school. Our children will do the same. We attend church weekly and pray daily that God blesses you, your baby, and your family. We say grace at every meal. Lily ends each prayer by saying cutely, “The End”. We attend special Lenten and Advent services.

We live in a gorgeous rural area with four amazing seasons. Our families are very supportive and involved. We have a large grassy backyard inviting fun and play. Our hometown is a safe place where neighbors are friends. Although we enjoy the benefits of a safe rural area, we are two hours away from two large cities loaded with every cultural activity imaginable. Bob’s family lives in Philadelphia so we get to experience the excitement and diversity of city life.

We thank you again for getting to know us. Our hearts and home are patiently waiting for a baby to shower with love. We would be happy and honored to share photos and letters of the baby several times a year as you will be ever-present in our hearts, prayers, and minds. We will make sure your baby knows about their beginning and first love. Please make our dreams come true.

Sincerely,
Kaleen and Bob
