Carl and Nancy

Dear Birthmother –

“Thank you” hardly seems enough to express the gratitude we feel in our hearts for you and the selfless choice you are making. We look forward to learning more about you. We already know that you are a brave, courageous, unselfish, loving woman, and we promise that your child will grow up knowing the same thing. We hope that after getting to know us better, you will allow us to share our love, laughter, and home with your child.

We are Carl and Nancy, and we have been together for 16 years. We met at a work party, and quickly fell in love. We traveled extensively before deciding to have children. Unfortunately the path to parenthood was a little longer than we expected, but after a few years of infertility treatment we were blessed with twins, Matthew and Sabrina, now eight years old. Raising our children has been the highlight of our life. We wish to grow our family, but are unable to due to medical reasons. That is why we now turn to you and the precious baby you are carrying.

We have personal experience with adoption, as our sister-in-law is adopted. She tells us how much she loves her birthmother, even though they have never met. In addition to our sister-in-law, your child will be loved by 12 cousins, 5 aunts, 7 uncles, 3 grandparents and a brother and sister. Another important family member is our dog Charlie, a three year old Golden Retriever who has a playful and loving spirit.

From Nancy: What I have always loved about Carl is that he treats me with love, kindness, and respect. He is a fun loving and generous person who makes friends easily. I knew someday Carl would make an excellent father, and I was right. He is a great dad, and spends lots of time with our children. Your child will learn love, generosity, gratitude, integrity, and kindness, having Carl as their dad.

From Carl: Nancy captures my heart to this day. She is my best friend. Nancy is a beautiful, smart, funny woman, and she is amazingly committed to our family. She pours her heart, love, and energy into raising our children, and she could not be a better mom for your child. Nancy is actively involved with school, activities, and teaching our kids at home. 

Our family enjoys sports, exercise, reading, hiking, swimming and family gatherings. We also enjoy traveling, and have vacations planned to Disney World, Colorado, Hawaii, Italy, England, Germany, and Spain. Each year we also take a trip to the ocean, and enjoy swimming and walking the white sand beaches.

We will be able to provide abundantly for our children. Education is a priority for us, and your child will be able to attend the college of their choice. We even chose our home because it is in a safe, family-oriented neighborhood, and is just a short walk to a great school.

No doubt you are facing a difficult decision – not one to be taken lightly. We sincerely hope that your decision gives you peace in knowing that you are making the right choice for you and your baby. We pray that you can see how much we love each other and how much love we have to give to your child.
