Dear Birthmother,

As you read this letter, it may not be clear to you how your situation is a blessing but rest assured that it is. We have been praying for you without knowing who you are or what circumstances led you to this courageous decision. You are an answer to a loving family’s prayers who will provide for your child in all the ways that is close to your heart. We are one of those loving families that believe you are a blessing, that your gift of love will be blessed in return.

My wife, Lara and I met in 2000 through mutual friends, were engaged within three months and married within a year. We knew from the beginning that we were made for each other and that we wanted to share our love through a family. We were blessed with our daughter, Olivia, in 2002 and have tried numerous times to have a second child but fertility did not work. We have so much love and opportunity to offer to another child and have a deep desire to share our home and the love of our family. We are fortunate to live in a beautiful gated golf course community in a 4 bedroom home on over ˝ acre of land. The community is very family and nature oriented. We enjoy cooking out in the backyard with our neighbors and friends while watching the deer and songbirds feeding on the back half of our land.

Lara is a stay at home Mom (CEO of the house) who enjoys volunteering in our community and at school. She is very active and believes in giving back. Several years ago, Lara founded a church ministry that knits and crochets preemie items for the local hospitals. She has also taught our daughter how to play tennis and swim. Somehow, with all that she is involved in, she still finds time to play tennis in a league, run a few times a week and take our loving 14 year old Golden Retriever, Dolly, to the park. She is amazing!

I own my own consulting business that allows for a flexible work schedule (my office is our home). When I am not working, I love to grill! I enjoy inviting friends and family over to try out new recipes. Some of the recipes are good and some don’t work out but we always have fun.

When we are not barbequing in the back yard with our family and friends, we are usually enjoying the lake that is 10 minutes from our home. We are all water sports enthusiasts and enjoy wakeboarding, wake surfing and fishing. Olivia especially enjoys swimming and being pulled in the tube behind the boat. We live our lives outdoors as much as possible. Several years ago, I was a water skier for Sea World and I feel fortunate to be able to share my love of water sports with my family. We frequently spend the weekends on our cabin cruiser “camping” on the lake or at my brother’s lake house with his family and our two godchildren. We also enjoy playing golf, tennis and basketball.

We live within walking distance of our Catholic church where we plan to bring up our child. It is a loving community and we feel a strong sense of belonging. Our daughter attends the private school and when our next blessing is ready, we will send them there as well. We believe in providing every opportunity possible to our children to grow in faith and love.

We want you to know that your baby will be nurtured and provided unconditional love by not only us but also a loving extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We admire your maturity, respect for life and unconditional love you have shown for your baby. We will raise your child as the miracle they are and provide them a healthy, loving, faith-based home.
