Dear Birthmother,

We are Jason and Melissa, and we have been married since 1991. We met in middle school, and it was love at first sight. We have known each other for almost all of our lives. We are best friends and soul mates. We live in a beautiful home in the mountains. We have 12 acres and a small fishing pond. We bought this small farm about 10 years ago, and have spent the last 5 years landscaping and remodeling our home.

Jason is a self-employed small business owner, and Melissa is a cosmetologist. When the baby arrives, Melissa will be a stay-at-home mom. We have one son who is grown and no longer lives at home. He works for Jason’s business so we get to see him everyday. He is a wonderful young man and would love to have a baby brother or sister. We have wanted another child for a very long time but are unable to have any more children ourselves. We are so excited about having another baby to raise and all of the special times we will have as our child grows up. We are looking forward to Jason playing Santa Claus at Christmas and coloring eggs for Easter. We want to be there as our child takes dance lessons or has baseball practice. We can’t wait to help our child with homework and book reports. Try to picture, running and playing in the grass, sledding in a snowy field, learning about the local wildlife on our farm, watching deer run through the field and Blue Herron wading in our pond. All of these things and so much more, we want to share with our child. 

We want you to know that our baby will be given so much love and affection, and every opportunity in life to do whatever he/she dreams of. They will be well traveled as we love the beach and Jason has relatives in England who we visit on occasion. Both of our immediate families live close, so we see them often. We enjoy lots of cookouts, get togethers and family outings. Both our immediate family and extended family are so excited about having another child in the family to adore and shower with hugs and kisses. Our child will be surrounded by much love, laughter, and support. 

More than anything we desire to have another baby to raise and to love, and believe that our heart’s desire is part of God’s master plan. We hope that this letter has opened your heart to us so that we may take this adoption journey together.
