Lloyd and Jamie

Dear Birthmother,

    

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter.  We feel it is an honor that you want to learn more about us!  We want you to know that we pray every day for your comfort and peace during this wondrous yet apprehensive time in your life.  Your actions are proof that you are the most caring, courageous, loving and selfless person we will ever have the privilege of knowing.  What you are doing is possibly the greatest act of love a mother can show to her child.  We praise God for you!

    

We are Lloyd and Jamie.  We have been best friends/husband and wife for twenty years now!  We have an amazing marriage based on mutual respect with a love that grows deeper as the years go by.  We knew that we wanted a large family and thank God we have been blessed with three wonderful kids.  When Jamie had her hysterectomy, we were determined not to let our dream for a larger family be quelled.  Lloyd was adopted so this seemed like the natural choice for us.  Lloyd has such love for his birthparents.  He has had a wonderful life and credits this to the unselfish decision of his birthparents.

    

Together, we enjoy spending time at our lake house and on our boat.  We also like to get dressed up and try out new restaurants.  We both enjoy the quietness of reading a good book, and then talking to each other about what we just read.  But our favorite thing to do together is hang out with our children.  We are so busy with their many activities and we just love it!  Our together time is family time!   

    

Lloyd is a well-respected and successful Oral Surgeon.  Because Lloyd owns his practice, he can set his own hours.  He is able to spend a lot of time with his family, taking time off for vacations or just eating lunch with the kids at school.  Lloyd loves the Lord.  He is very active in our church and teaches an adult Sunday school class.  He enjoys sports; especially basketball and he coaches both of our sons’ basketball teams. 

    

Jamie is a stay at home mom.  She volunteers at the kids’ schools and attends all school function. She fills her days making sure the kids come home to a clean house, have clean clothes to wear, and have a nutritious meal to eat.  She also volunteers for a local hospice and at her church where she helps the homeless acquire food and clothing. She enjoys music, the arts, concerts and the theater.  Jamie is a follower of Christ and attends a women’s Bible study once a week. 

    

The town we live in is the perfect place to raise a family.  It has many of the big city amenities with a small town feel.  The school district we live in is considered one of the best in the state. The church we attend has wonderful programs for children.  We are surrounded by many lakes and trees as this state is full of natural beauty.  Family activities truly abound!

    

Our extended families are so excited about the newest arrival to the family!  Lloyd’s family lives only a few short hours away and Jamie’s sister lives in our very neighborhood.  Holidays are always spent with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.  

 

It may seem somewhat overwhelming to you at the moment with all of the choices you have in front of you.  Please remember that you are going to be such a blessing to someone’s life.  We hope it will be us.  We promise you that your baby will be brought up in a home based on Christian values and beliefs.  He will be deeply loved, appreciated and cherished.  He will always be safe and financially secure.  We hope that it brings you peace to know that your baby will be raised in a loving family that is twenty years strong!  Thank you again fro reading our letter.  We truly appreciate you.
