Sven and Jordan

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter to learn more about us. We are Sven and Jordan, and we are grateful to you for the unselfish act of choosing adoption for your precious baby. Words cannot express the yearning we feel to be parents; to be able to have a little baby to call ours, to see a bright, smiling face run up to us and say “I love you Mommy and Daddy”. That would be the greatest gift you could give us. We believe every baby is a miracle, and we promise to love this child as our own.

Sven and I are best friends; we love each other more today than yesterday. We have always dreamed of having a family, of hearing laughter and the pitter-patter of feet running across the floors. We put our trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because without Him, nothing is possible. We believe we have so much to offer a child. In our eyes, childhood should be fun, educational, filled with love, and full of memories. We are blessed with a three bedroom country home, surrounded by rolling hills and lush, green forests. Just down the road are Sven’s mom, dad and brother Bergen, who was adopted 16 years ago. 

We love to travel whenever it is possible. We have seen the vastness of the Grand Canyon, the mountains of Colorado, the plains of Wyoming, the Ozarks of Arkansas and many places in between. Every summer, we get together with Sven’s large extended family for a weekend of camping, fishing, fellowship, fun and laughter. We enjoy various outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, riding four-wheelers, walking, hiking, as well as discovering what else God has created, watching our big vegetable garden flourish, planting flowers and other yard work. We like to read the Bible every day, and watch movies on occasion. Jordan likes to cook and because of that, we enjoy a home-cooked meal almost every evening. We have 2 dogs we love to play with, and we love to have family and friends over to entertain. Every Tuesday, we participate in pole bending and barrel racing with two of our three horses, and every Sunday we attend church.

Sven is a well-known electrician and enjoys what he does. He lives to serve God everyday and dreams of being a daddy. Jordan plans to be a stay-at-home mom, but right now she runs a small daycare. She believes her role as a mother would be to raise our children according to God’s Word, teach them how to be good people, give them every opportunity possible to learn and enjoy their childhood, as well as providing unconditional love.

We know that this is an emotional time for you, as it is for us. We pray for you everyday that God will give you the strength and peace that you need. We know that adoption is what God has planned for us, and that He will give us the right baby. If his plan is for us to have the baby you are carrying, we know we will meet again. We are committed to each other forever and plan to be the same with the child you are giving up. Our home is and forever will be filled with God and unconditional love.
