You and your baby are gifts from God. Thank you for making this courageous choice!  There are no words to express our immense respect for you or our gratitude to you for considering us as parents for your baby.  We hope this profile will give you a sense of the happiness, love and security we have to offer.  We want you to know how truly blessed we feel to have been given the opportunity to adopt a child, and we will be forever grateful to you for helping us realize this dream. 

Shawn and I met at a huge summer music festival among thousands of people, and we both knew right away that we were supposed to meet that day.  We dated for three years and got married on a beach in a small, intimate ceremony in front of family members and close friends.  We love the beach and the outdoors, and we’re both happy people who truly appreciate family, friends and all the little things life has to offer.  We can’t wait to bring a baby into our lives!

Our daily lives include lots of flavor – Shawn loves to cook!  We have dinner together most nights, not only because we enjoy spending that time together, but also to keep ourselves (and soon our child) healthy and happy.  We both love sports and enjoy being outdoors, and after a long day we love coming back to our cozy home to relax.

People tell us our home is very warm and inviting.  Our home is located in a desirable neighborhood with proximity to everything we love, including museums, restaurants, shops, schools, parks and the lake.  We currently live in a condominium in the city.  We’re in the process of moving to a single family home in the northern suburbs where we’ll have more room as we add to our family.  We took our time deciding on the best neighborhood because we knew this would be where our child would grow up, and that meant finding the best schools and neighborhoods with other young families. 

Shawn built on his love for cooking by starting a business making gourmet foods.  He put his business experience to work and can now enjoy the flexibility to spend quality time with our child.  Pam is very lucky to have a job she loves selling software for a company that respects “family first”, and she enjoys a flexible schedule as well.  We’ve created a warm, loving, stable life for ourselves, with the hopes of completing our family with a baby to love.

Everyone in our family is just as excited as we are to welcome a baby into our lives, from adopted nieces and nephews to biological sisters, brothers and parents.  We can’t wait to share our lives with a child, including our standing date with Pam’s sister and two kids every Sunday morning for church, our annual visits to see Shawn’s brothers and the rest of our family in Arizona.  Our family has a few traditions, most recently including Shawn dressing up as the Easter Bunny for our niece and nephew.  He can’t wait to wear the costume for our own child!

We plan to teach your child kindness, honesty, generosity and respect for self and others.  We will provide a loving and nurturing home, as well as a good education for a future full of choices.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for starting to know us through this profile, and thank you for this amazing, incredible gift.  We wish you all the best in your journey.
