Dear Birthmother,

Children truly are a gift from God.  The wonderful child you have been given is so very special and is destined for an amazing life.   We know adoption can be such a blessing for both birthmoms and adoptive moms.  It seems like just yesterday that a courageous young woman blessed us with our beautiful adopted daughter.  We pray that you receive guidance and strength in the decision that lies before you. If you have ever wondered if you are making the right decision, be encouraged.  As you follow the peace in your heart, you can know that you are choosing what is best for both you and your child.   Our hope is you find comfort and lasting joy in knowing you are giving your child the opportunity to one day fulfill all of their hopes and dreams.

We are Jim and Jeanne.  We live in a beautiful, two story, four bedroom home located in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood.  There are miles of walking paths  or “paseos” nearby that are perfect for taking a walk with our dog, taking a family stroll to the local park, or going out for a jog.  Our neighborhood has a fabulous clubhouse, Olympic-size swimming pool, and outdoor picnic area.  We truly love the Lord, and consider our involvement in our local church to be so important.  From participating in weekend church retreats, to bible studies, to helping with children’s programs such as AWANA, we know that with God as the center of our family, we will always be taken care of.

Our home is warm and friendly, and is our family’s favorite place to spend time with each other.  Alisha is our 4 year old adopted daughter.  She has a bubbly personality and just loves to be around other children.  She would make an amazing big sister.  We have a small dog named Minnie, who is part schipperke and part mini-pincher.  She loves to roll over on her back and get her stomach petted, and is always excited when she gets to walk to the park. Our family room has a beautiful view of our backyard, which has an orange and apple tree, and is perfect for relaxing on a cool fall evening.  Our favorite pastime is reading stories or playing play board games together before going to sleep each night.

Jeanne is a very caring and sensitive person.  She grew up in Hawaii and has a large and wonderful extended family – 8 sisters and brothers, with over 30 nieces and nephews.  Jeanne has worked for several large universities in the past, and is now a stay-at-home mom.  Jeanne enjoys spending a lot of time with Alisha, and is actively involved in helping at Alisha’s pre-school. 

Jim is an energetic and fun person to be around.  He works at a large healthcare organization as an information technology manager.  He is also completing the final stages of his Ph.D. in information systems.  Jim loves sports and finds amazing ways to stay in shape.  He grew up playing junior tennis tournaments, and has competed in tennis and inline speed skating at a professional level.  Jim loves to spend time at home with Jeanne and Alisha.  He really is a wonderful husband and father.

After trying to have children on our own, we realized that having an opportunity to have children as part of our family through adoption would be a dream come true.  As a couple, we love each other so much.  We love and cherish our daughter, Alisha with all our hearts.  We are so thrilled to have her in our lives.  As a family, there is a special place in our hearts for another adopted child to love and cherish.  Your child will always be loved, provided for, and part of a family that allows dreams to come true.

We believe that you have been chosen by the Lord to bring a wonderful and beautiful child into this world.  We feel honored and blessed to know that you have such an important role to play, and that we may be used to provide your child with an exciting and happy future.
