Dear Birth Mother,

We must begin this letter by expressing our heart felt gratitude and respect for you. Everyday must be filled with different emotions. We are certain that finding the right parents for your baby is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.  We want you to have all the confidence in that decision.  Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to give you a glimpse into our life.

Mike and I have been married for five wonderful years. He is an amazing man. We are the perfect combination.  I am extremely outgoing and Mike is a little bit more reserved.  We both value family and believe strongly in offering love and support to all family members and friends.  Our house is where a majority of family events occur.   We love to be at the center of all celebrations. That is what I love about our neighborhood. Children come to our neighborhood for Halloween for the costume contest and Hay ride, Christmas caroling, and Easter egg hunts.  Not to mention we have a street full of kids that attend all birthday parties of our nieces and nephews.

I (Robinn) have B.S. degree in Psychology with a minor in criminal justice; my first job out of college was working with Social Services and dealing with troubled youth’s.  I loved this job and loved helping every child I came in contact with however it was so hard to make a difference and the system really made it difficult to keep a positive attitude.  So I decided to switch to Pharmaceutical Sales where my “people person” skills and my inner drive could make me a success.  It wasn’t long until I was winning award after award for being the top sales rep, not only in the district but in the entire region which covers five states!  I love my career and my company is awesome, they offer a job share program which will allows me to be a stay at home Mommy almost 100% of the time.

Mike, his brother and his sister-in-law started a very small business exactly 20 years ago out of the bedroom of Tom’s house (mikes brother).  Being fitness enthusiast and former athletes it only seemed natural to start a small sports nutrition business.  It wasn’t easy at first but hard work and determination has allowed them to grow into major players in the ever growing sports nutrition distribution business.

Our city has top rated schools and is extremely advanced in their education system.  At any given time a parent can go on line and check the grades and homework status of their child.  Additionally, we have numerous children’s programs from Sea and Sail camps to art camps. We are blessed to live in a city that sponsors all youth athletic programs.  For example, all of the uniforms for the football, baseball, basketball teams are paid for by the city.

My parents are so ready to welcome their first grandchild into the family.  They have already picked names to be called…Grandpa David will be called Pappi and Grandma Dede will be called Nanny.  This little bundle joy has no idea how spoiled they are going to be.  That’s not all; Robinn’s grandpa is still alive too! So our baby will have a Great Grandpa.  Papa is still going strong at 84 and can’t wait to take our baby fishing and horseback riding.

Although we are blessed with so many wonderful children in our lives, we can’t help but think what it will be like when we have our own baby running around the house.  We often discuss all the things we will do, like coaching little leagues, being cheerleader coach, teaching him/her how to fish, golf, and ride a bike. There are so many activities in our community that we want have our baby involved in…especially athletics.  There is a world renowned facility for developing children of all ages into superior athlete’s just minutes away from our house. Boating and all types of water sport activities are also minutes away. Mike is a fisherman at heart and can’t wait to see our baby catch his/her first fish.  We also attend Church every Sunday and participate in all community events organized by our church.
 
Mike and I are so incredibly blessed with a wonderful family waiting to embrace its newest member.  A member that will be so loved and cherished and will know how much their mother loved them and what great sacrifice she made for her precious angel.
