Dear Expectant Mother,
We are Jay and Miranda!! We are excited for the opportunity to share our lives and ourselves with you. We cannot begin to imagine how difficult taking this path might be for you, and we can only hope that our letter can provide some encouragement and hope in your future decisions.
We have been married since 2002. We are proud to live in small town America, where our children are safer from the hazards of the world. We can take our dog for a walk or go for bike rides without worrying about safety. We live in an agricultural area, which supplies Jay with a great job that can provide for our family for years to come. Miranda works for our local school district in the special education department which allows her to enjoy the summers off to spend with our family.
We have a handsome seven year old son Ryan whom we also adopted from birth. Ryan knows and understands why his birthmother chose the path of adoption. Our belief is that it is very important for your child to learn at a young age that he or she was adopted, and to understand the basics of adoption. We also believe that he/she should always know and feel your love, and we will do everything we can to make sure of that. We are willing to share any information about you or your family with him/her that you would be in agreement with.
We will teach our children to be responsible, respectful, and caring individuals, by instilling strong family values. We will encourage and support them through all of their learning experiences whether they are making great decisions or mistakes.
We usually spend our summers camping and having fun in the outdoors. Our evenings are enjoyed outside gardening, doing yard work, playing in the yard, or enjoying a relaxing time on the deck. We love holding family barbeques and think there is nothing better than grilling up good food and sharing it with friends and family.
Winter brings us a whole new experience of outdoor time! We bundle up to enjoy the snow by sledding or building snowmen. We love to catch fresh perch for supper by ice fishing. Oh and of course lots of snow ball fights! On cold evenings in we play board or card games or work on one of our many home improvement projects. The holidays are special for us. At Christmas time our family all gathers at our home for lots of food, fun and laughs.
If you choose us, we will cherish your baby forever and will always be thankful for your choice. We are committed to our children and will offer them a life of unconditional love and constant nurturing.
"Born not from our flesh, but born in our hearts, you were longed for and wanted and loved from the start."
Thank you for reading our letter.
Jay and Miranda
