Dear Expectant Mom,
We don't know each other, but we think and talk about you
every day. You don’t know us, but perhaps you are thinking about people like
us. We likely have different life paths, but your decision may bring us to the
same place—to provide your child with a loving and nurturing family.
You are a woman with great strength and love. As parents, we
understand the need to unconditionally love, nurture, and protect our children.
We appreciate the courage you have in this difficult decision. If you choose
adoption and us as parents, we commit to honor you through a lifetime of
unconditional love, patience, and attentiveness to your child.
We are Eric and Jen, and we would be blessed to welcome your
child into our family— to love, protect, and cherish forever.
After growing our friendship over ten years, Eric and I realized we were meant to be
together and are now happily married. We are each other’s source of strength,
joy, laughter, adventure, safety, and love.
Jen has two children from a previous marriage, Evan and Caroline. Over the course of our marriage, Eric has
been an incredible role model, support, and father to them. The loving
relationship with Evan and Caroline has affirmed our desire to expand our family.
Sadly, we are unable to expand our family on our own. Through
prayer, reflection, and family experiences, we realized adoption was the answer
to fulfill our parenting dream. While the gift of a child from another may not
be the choice for all families, we are confident that it is the BEST choice for
our family and we will be richer for it.
We both are creative, people-oriented and enjoy helping
others. Both our careers allow us to
help empower and grow others. Eric works
for a leading technology company and is the artistic director of a community
theater, and occasionally teaches theater arts at a local prestigious university. He volunteers time in our local community and
supports Evan and Caroline in all their activities and interests. Jen has been devoted to nurturing children as
an elementary school teacher her entire career.
Recently, she has taken on a role to support children and teachers
school-wide as a Curriculum Director.
She is actively involved in volunteering at a local animal shelter,
youth library programs, and community garden.
We live in northeast Pennsylvania. Our home is in a quaint
suburb filled with friendly neighbors, recreational parks and lakes, athletic
fields, library, pool, farmer's market, bike trails and schools, all within
walking distance. Our house is built of
wood and stone; our home is built of love, respect, kindness, honesty, laughter,
and compassion. These are the values we
model as parents. The most important thing we hope to instill in our kids is
unconditional love that they can carry through their lifetime to achieve their
dreams and overcome life’s challenges.
Thank you for considering us.
With love and respect,
Eric, Jen, Evan and Caroline
