Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter. We are Nathan and Meredith. We understand that this is potentially a very difficult time in your life. We respect and admire you for considering adoption as an option for your baby. The baby that is adopted into our family will be loved and accepted just as if we had personally had it ourselves. If you decide that adoption is the right path for you, we pray that we would be the right parents for your baby.
When we got married we both knew that we wanted a family. It has always been a dream of ours. We ended up getting pregnant several years ago. We then found out it was an ectopic pregnancy and was in Meredith’s fallopian tube. The baby ended up having to be surgically removed. Meredith lost both of her fallopian tubes so we turned to In Vitro Fertilization. Unfortunately we have not had any success with that. We truly believe that we are meant to adopt a baby into our family. We felt that God would lead us in whatever direction He had planned for us. We truly feel that adoption is the pathway for us to start our family that we both desire. We have so much love to give to a child. We want to introduce him or her to all of our family traditions, such as family dinner on Thanksgiving, trick-or-treating with cousins, and dying Easter eggs. Plus, we look forward to creating new traditions with your baby as well. Having this sweet baby be part of our family will be the biggest blessing for the two of us. We promise that we will take the best care of your baby and will do whatever is needed for him or her to thrive and lead a wonderful life.
Here’s a little look into our lives so that you may get to know us better. Nathan and I met in high school. We were in similar activities such as drama and both attended football and basketball games. Although we never dated in high school, we knew each other. A few years went by and we reconnected. We started dating Christmas 2010 and then were married in December 2012. We still live in our beautiful hometown in Kentucky. Our family time is really important to us. We enjoy the luxury of having all of our immediate family so close to us and being able to see them every day. Know that your baby would grow up in a loving and nurturing family atmosphere. We spend time with both families for birthdays, holidays and other events. Nathan is an only child, but Meredith is the youngest of 3.We are lucky enough to be an aunt and uncle to 2 nieces and 2 nephews and enjoy the time that we get to spend with them. We hope that we will soon get to add a 5th grandchild for my parents and make Nathan’s parents grandparents for the first time.
We are both animal lovers and enjoy spending time with our 3 dogs (Allie, Lexie and Lady) and 2 cats (Casper and Gizmo). They are like our children, and they bring us a lot of joy. We enjoy being outside playing ball and taking them on walks as well as our down time snuggling on the couch. We want to pass down our love of animals to your baby.
We want to thank you again for taking the time to read our letter. We wish you the best of luck through this journey that you are on. We will be thinking of you.
