We would be honored to have a chance to share our lives and
love with your child. We promise to work tirelessly to provide a wonderful life
filled with abundant opportunities including a close and loving extended
family, fun travel, lessons to promote talents but, most of all, unconditional
Since our marriage, we have been anxious to have a family
and were fortunate to adopt our first child, Chandler, in 2015. Becoming a
family has been a dream come true for both of us and Chandler has brought an
abundance of joy! He has changed everything about the way we navigate our life
and so will any child that we are lucky enough to parent. We think of him first
in everything we plan and do. We are so grateful for him and excited about the
opportunity for him to have a brother or a sister and for us to finally
complete our family.
Our relationship with our child’s birthmother has been a
wonderful addition to our lives. We love her and think the world of her. The
prospect that another person’s heart may be mourning just as our broken heart
is being mended is a troubling thought. It has given us a much more empathetic
view on life as a whole. Though Chandler’s birth mother hasn’t chosen to play a
large role in our daily lives, she is somebody we talk with our son about often
and encourage all positive discussions about her. It is our desire to always
honor the sacrifice she made.
We love to camp and spend time at our family cabin with both
extended family and just us, ride four wheelers, play games and have family
barbecues. We also enjoy watching and participating in the events our nieces
and nephews are involved in. We love to ski, snowmobile, travel, and go to
movies. Chandler absolutely loves all of these activities as well and will
start skiing this year… but the cabin is his and the dog’s (Rocky) favorite! We
look forward to every football and basketball season, as Aaron is an avid fan.
We enjoy going to games to cheer on our favorite teams which tend to be the
local high school and colleges where our nieces and nephews attend. We love
being outside doing yard work. Since we purchased our home last year, there is
LOTS to do and we love improving it and spending time in the sunshine!
We live in a comfortable home on a quiet street at the
foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. We are active members in our church which
provides great teachings focused on strengthening the family. We both grew up
in homes where honesty, integrity, hard work, and respect for self and others
were modeled, valued and expected. It is our goal to teach those same traits to
Music is also a big part of our lives since Jenn was brought
up in a very musical home. She loves to teach with music. Chandler and Jenn
sing together often during the day, whether they’re waking up, cleaning up or
going to bed, there is always a song that helps get the job done and Chandler
loves to sing as well. Jenn believes that it teaches at a deeper level and
touches the heart in a way that's hard to describe. We will always strive to give
our children opportunities to enjoy many kinds of activities, helping them to
develop their talents; musical, athletic or otherwise.
We know this is a monumental decision you are considering
and hope this letter conveys to you what we are about and the kind of life we
would like to provide for your child.
Aaron & Jenn
