Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about
us. We know it takes courage, strength, and love to make such a selfless
decision. While thinking about this difficult decision you are having to make,
we want you to know that your baby will always be loved and know that they are
special in every way possible.
We are Lauren and Kris. We met the old fashioned way,
on-line. Okay, so not so old fashioned, but it worked out great for us because
we are both teachers. We dated for almost two years prior to getting married. We
don’t have any children, but are looking forward to raising little ones. We
quickly realized that we were unable to have children without doctor
intervention and that was something that we did not want to do. We knew that
adoption was the route we wanted to take to have children.
Lauren has always dreamed about being a mom. From the time
she was a little girl, she knew she wanted to share her life with children. Adoption
was something that she has always wanted to do. She is a kindergarten teacher
and recently earned her Master’s in teaching with a specialization in early
childhood education. There is no other job that Lauren would want to do because
she gets to work with children on a daily basis. She also loves teaching
because it will allow her to have an active role in her future children’s’
lives because she teaches right here in our community.
Kris is an elementary school teacher as well and is also
working towards his Master’s in teaching with a specialization in technology. He
has always been a teacher and enjoys challenging youths to be the best they can
be. Kris teaches at an inner-city school. This makes for a longer commute, but
he is able to make this sacrifice for our future family because he wants the
best for our children.
We love to have fun. Fun does not have to be going on fancy
vacations. We love the simple things. We enjoy Friday nights being able to put
on sweats and enjoy a movie on the sofa. We love going to breakfast on Saturday
mornings and look forward to taking a little one with us. During warmer months,
we love to hang out in water. Lauren was a lifeguard and a swim instructor for
ten years. We spend a week every summer at family summer camp with Kris’ dad’s
family. There are usually about ten family members at camp each year and
everyone would love to welcome your child in all the fun. We are fun-loving and
We are both extremely lucky to have been raised by wonderful
people. Kris was raised by his mother and his father with a “family comes first”
attitude, and his parents taught him strong morals and values. These morals and
values are still present in Kris’ daily life. Lauren was raised by her mother,
step-father, and father, and was also taught that family comes first. She was
raised to make good choices and to know right from wrong. We were both raised
with education as a top priority. Our mothers are both teachers and we learned
how important education was at an early age. This is something that we plan to
instill in our children.
Both of our families live close by with the farthest living
about 45 minutes away. We see them weekly and enjoy spending time with them and
continuing family traditions. Lauren’s mother is retired and enjoys
volunteering in Lauren’s classroom each week. We enjoy spending time with our
nieces and nephews. We look forward to the day that we are able to add another
little one to the family.
Our hopes and dreams for your child’s life are endless. We
want to provide your child with life experiences, education, morals, and
adventures. We want your child to be happy and love life as much as we do. We
look forward to the day that we get to share life with a precious child.
Your child will always be loved, cared for, cherished, and
given all the support he or she may need to be successful in whatever
adventures they choose in life.
Lauren and Kris
