Hello from Brad and Gina:
It is an honor that you are taking the time to read our letter and to get to know us. We recognize that this may be an uncertain time for you and it is with warm, heartfelt emotion, that we say how courageous you are to consider this journey.
Our story begins when we met and fell in love in college and knew that a family is how we wanted to extend our love. Even though we have been married for over 20 wonderful years, we swear it seems like we just met yesterday! We feel blessed and truly fortunate to have found one another and then adopt our sons, Lucas and Mateo, who are two wonderful, kind and thoughtful boys. Being parents is absolutely amazing and the best joy of our lives. Our family is our number one priority and we are excited and looking forward to a daughter joining our family and our boys are anxious to have a little sister!
We are still excited that Lucas’ and Mateo’s birth parents chose us and we are so grateful to be able to get to know them and what their hopes and dreams were for themselves and for each of their children. We are so full of love for them and who they are. We see each of their personalities and spirit in each of our boys. Both our boys know their adoption story and their birthmothers’ courageous choice. It is a part of their being and gives them more confidence on how much they are loved.
We both work for family oriented companies, with highly flexible schedules. Gina limits her time at the office so it can be spent with Lucas and Mateo enjoying the outdoors or volunteering at Lucas’ and Mateo’s school as a room parent, presenting on careers days, playing ukulele to the class, and chaperoning their classes on field trips. Brad works from home almost full time and when he does have to go into the office, he is able to leave early to spend time with family. Brad is also very active with the kids and enjoys planning camping trips with the boys and coaching them in baseball.
The heart of our home is centered around the dinner table where we gather together to eat and talk about our day. We clean up after together and then there’s time to read stories before bed and end our day with tickles. Family gatherings are frequent and always special with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who all live within a short distance from our house regularly popping in for a visit. They too anxiously await the arrival of a very special little girl.
Gina is very excited to share with a daughter, her love of playing music, singing, baking, riding a bike, hiking, and to be able to express herself. But most of all, she cannot wait to cuddle and provide her with the love and confidence to become a strong young woman one day. Brad is excited to dote on his little princess (or tomboy!) and teach her how to garden, make the best marshmallow s’mores, and coach her sports, when she is ready! Both our boys are excited to be a big brothers and show her the ropes, protect her, and love her.
Our family home is a spacious, warm and inviting 5 bedroom home full of bright light with a large grassy backyard that has lots of room for the kids to play. We live within walking distance from a prestigious elementary school and a very large park. We live near hiking trails which has a kid-friendly farm and every year we enjoy taking the boys to see the new baby goats, pigs and sheep! We enjoy simple everyday gifts with our children, such as teaching them the of love nature when we go camping, to enjoy the outdoors, the love of reading and the importance of gathering as a family at the end of the each day and to eat dinner together. Education is also very important to us; both boys are attending a private school near our home where individuality, creativity, and arts are emphasized.
We would be humbled to be part of loving your child and providing her with a wonderful future. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering us for this lifetime connection and we can’t wait to hear from you and to learn what your hopes and dreams are for you and your baby.
