Greetings from Montana!
We begin our letter with you in our thoughts and the
decision you are faced with as well as the journey that you may soon be
embarking on. We are humbled at the thought that you would consider sharing
your baby with us, and are deeply grateful and inspired by your courage. Should
you choose us to bless with your child, he or she will know their story and we
will honor you and the love you have for your child.
We are really excited to start a family. We’ve had the joy
of delivering babies as family doctors and are amazed at how much each child
has grown and developed in the months in between visits. We are so ready to
experience a child of our own growing and developing into a unique and amazing
human being! We have not been able to get pregnant, and have decided that adoption
is the way we’d like to become parents.
As hopeful parents-to-be, we know that parenthood isn’t
always a cake walk, and we’re prepared to be humbled and challenged just as
much as we’re prepared to laugh and play and celebrate the joys and love of a
child. We look forward to weekday meals as a family, snuggling up to read
bedtime stories, and getting together with friends and their children for
birthday parties, dinners, and camping trips. We are stoked to bring your child
along on afternoon runs in a running stroller, to get him or her out on skis as
soon as we can, to dance with him or her after work and at weddings. We hope to
instill in your child a great love for the joys of gardening and growing fruits
in our yard, for visiting the farmers’ market, for wildlife, rivers, and
mountains and the endless natural beauty in our corner of the world in the
northern Rockies. We know that our goofy dog, Prancer, will love to have
another set of hands in the house to feed and love her.
Tim is fun and quirky. He can be silly and he appreciates
nature and time outside. He makes me laugh daily. He loves to cook and brings
creativity and flare to the process; we eat really healthily and well because
of him. His family is very important to him and he is close with his four
siblings. Tim is my favorite person and adventure partner. I can't imagine life
without him – he is my best friend. I can’t wait to see him become a dad
and I imagine all of the silly things he will do to make your child burst into
Elizabeth loves dogs, mountain views and reading. She is
kind and lighthearted. She enjoys competing in Nordic skiing races and although
she wins frequently, she remains very humble. She is close with her parents and
sister. What I appreciate most about Elizabeth is her ability to remain calm
and her willingness to roll with the plans I dream up. My life is so much
better having her as my partner! She is kind and patient and is going to be an
amazing mother to your child.
Our families are very important to us. Elizabeth has a
sister with whom she is very close and who lives nearby in Wyoming with her
husband. Tim is one of five siblings and when they all get together it is a
boisterous event. Your baby will be the 8th cousin in a growing extended family
of busy, active grandkids. Both sets of would-be grandparents live in upstate
New York, but are healthy and spry and able to travel frequently to see us. We
know we will be seeing even more of them once a baby is part of our family. Our
families are very excited to meet your child, to be a major part of his or her
life. They can’t wait to spend time at the family cabin in the summers or
introduce them to the annual chicken trot - an opportunity to dress up in silly
costumes and all run together in a park on Thanksgiving.
Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking
the time to consider us as adoptive parents. We would love the opportunity to
hear from you and would be honored if you chose us to love and raise your
unique and amazing little human being!
Elizabeth and Tim
