You are very courageous for considering adoption for your
child. We understand you are making one tough decision right now. So many
thoughts and worries come with trying to decide the best path for not only you
right now but also your baby. Just know you are not alone. Even though others
have faced similar situations, no one’s path in life is exactly like yours and
you should make the decision you feel is best. No matter which path you choose
in this part of your journey, we have the highest respect for your decision. We
admire you for choosing to have your baby and wanting to give your baby the
best opportunities in life.
We want to adopt, as this is the only way we are able to add
another child to our fun loving family. This is just a little glimpse of what
life would be like for your child if you should choose us as adoptive parents...
Daily life would consist of spending time with family or neighbors in the
morning and spending the afternoons outside with Garret, as he is usually home
before noon. Garret loves to work in the yard and work on projects around the
house and likes to help others learn how to do things around the house. When
Christy comes home from work we eat dinner, then either take a stroll on the
trail around the nearby lake, or take a bike ride.
Our favorite things to do include camping, going to the zoo,
playing at the local playgrounds, visiting amusement parks, swimming in the
pool, bowling, and playing miniature golf. We like to visit the local children’s
museum as well as the children’s farmstead. Each year we look forward to
visiting a pumpkin patch in the fall.
We started coaching our kids in basketball and volleyball 3
years ago, and our basketball team went undefeated 2 seasons in a row. We had
the same players for 3 years and had more players request us as coaches in the
last 2 seasons we played. We ended the season by having a party, and decided to
buy all the kids trophies for a job well done. We have been asked to coach a
competition team and are still considering this option.
Holidays and birthdays include extended family and are
almost always held at our house. We play games and sometimes rent bouncy houses
and water slides. Christy enjoys making specialty cakes such as Spiderman,
Tinkerbell, Lightning McQueen, Paw Patrol, soccer balls and many others for the
kids. Easter always includes an Easter Egg Hunt for the little kids and a
scavenger hunt for the older kids. We barbeque for the 4th of July and have a
fireworks display. Every year we drive through the Christmas light display at
the local campgrounds.
I, Christy, was a room mother for the kids when they were in
elementary school and was in charge of all the classroom parties. I think I
enjoyed those days just as much as the kids. One party included an indoor
snowball fight, using cotton balls, and one child said, “This is the best day
of my life!” Other parties included wrapping the teacher up like a mummy using
toilet paper and Minute to Win It Games. We cannot wait to throw parties like
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and getting
to know who we are. We believe that everything happens for a reason and that
every person we come across in life is someone we are meant to meet. We hope
you will become a part of our lives/story.
