Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. How do we write a letter to amazing person we have yet to meet? Words and emotions cannot explain how grateful and blessed we will be if you choose us to raise the precious child you are carrying. You are a very courageous and selfless woman for choosing life and for considering adoption for your baby. We know that the best days of our lives may be the hardest days of yours, and if you choose us, we would be honored to go through the joys and tears with you.
We, as adoptive parents, will always be there for your child, treasure them, and let them be themselves. We promise to teach him/her to try new things, be adventurous, and we will support them in all their endeavors. Your child will always be part of our large, supportive family, with many cousins, aunts and uncles who are ready to love them.
We have a great marriage together, but we feel that a child could change our lives by filling it with the laughter, adventures, and a lifetime of memories. With the good times, we know there will be some hard times, tears, and frustration. When we started down the path of having children we were told by doctors that if Kathryn carried her own child it could be life threating for her and the baby due to her kidneys. We talked about our options and adoption seemed to be the right option for us. A child is more than a person; they are a blessing, a gift and we will cherish them every day. Thank you for reading our letter and for considering us to love and care for your baby.
With all our love,
Trevor and Kathryn
