Dear Expectant Mother,
We hope that as you read this, you will know a little more about
us, and that you’ll consider us as adoptive parents for your child. We know
this is a difficult decision for you. Hopefully, we can provide some comfort in
knowing there is a family out here that’s searching for a child with whom to
share our life and, most importantly, love unconditionally.
We live in a warm, safe home in the great state of North
Carolina. Our family is small and close-knit, so your child will never want for
attention. Our extended family lives here in North Carolina and across the
Atlantic Ocean in Poland. We have two small beagles that love to play. We
have lived in our neighborhood for over 15 years. It has proven to be a truly
diverse family area with many wonderful opportunities and experiences to share.
Having family overseas, we travel and have learned much about life around the
world. This is one of the many aspects of our life that we want to share with
Of course, there will certainly be much to learn and plenty
of fun to be had by all of us. For starters, we enjoy being outdoors. Whether it’s
throwing Frisbees with the beagles, growing flowers in our garden, hiking
trails, playing basketball, or swimming in our neighborhood pool or at the
beach, we are always looking for an excuse to go outside. We also like to “roll
up our sleeves” and take on projects around the house and in the community,
like landscaping, remodeling, and decorating. While this may seem like work at
times, we see it as a perfect opportunity to be together as a family.
Having a child in our home will fulfill a lifelong dream for
us. We both grew up with loving parents who taught us many virtuous lessons. One
of the most valuable of these is patience. Patience has helped us learn from
our mistakes, heal after disappointment and heartbreak, and grow, both
individually and as a family. Now, as parents, we take great care in both
teaching and practicing these virtues of patience, love, and understanding.
In knowing a little more about us, our hopes are that you
consider our home as a safe, nurturing place for your child to live, grow,
love, and be loved.
