Q: Tell us about your home and neighborhood.
A: We love our neighborhood! It is a wonderful, kid friendly place. We are in walking distance to cousins and a wonderful park where we like to ride bikes to and play. There is a group of neighborhood kids that go back and forth between houses playing dolls, tag, jumping on a trampoline, riding scooters/bikes, or running through sprinklers. The streets are wide so there is enough room for them all to play. Our neighborhood is very safe, quiet, and welcoming to children. We are close to family fun centers/activities!
Q: When you have a 3-day weekend, what you like to do?
A: Sometimes we like to do quick getaways to the beach or mountains, sometimes we just hang around and have family time, but we also have season passes to Universal Studios and we like to go there and sometimes we will go to Disneyland.
Q: Do you have pets? If so tell us about them?
A: We have two dogs and a fish. One dog is Miley. She is an old, sweet, teacup Chihuahua that loves to be held. Our other dog is a young, boxer-terrier mix that is full of energy and just a bundle of love. She loves walks, car trips and belly rubs.
Q: What do you hope to teach your child(ren)?
A: We hope to teach our children to love and respect everyone, to have self-confidence and to appreciate the value of education and hard work.
Q: What will you tell your child about his or her birthmom?
A: We will tell them whatever they want to know. We will let them know how grateful we are for her amazing sacrifice made out of love for them.
Q: Are you active in your church? Tell us about your activities.
A: We go to church weekly, but are more active in the girls' school, that is part of the church. We work different school events. Ryan was the 5th grade girls’ basketball coach. Sandy works on fundraisers for the school. Ryan worked a booth at the harvest festival and we decorated our car for trunk or treat.
Q: How will a child enrich your life?
A: We have always wanted a third child; both of us have 2 other siblings and know what a blessing it is to have more brothers and sisters. We have more love to give and our girls are excited about being older siblings. Being able to bring a baby into our family in this unique way would be an answer to our many prayers. We see how much joy and love our kids bring into our lives. Going through what we have, this child will be our miracle and will be so loved their entire life.
Q: Describe your last vacation and/or day trip
A: We went on a 10-day trip to Hawaii, the island Kauai, with Sandy’s parents. We spent every day on the beach, playing and exploring. We saw turtles, dolphins, whales, fish and so much more. We had so much great family time making memories.
Q: Will you be a stay-at-home parent? If so, what are your day-to-day plans?
A: Yes, Ryan is a stay at home parent. Ryan will play games, such as hide and seek, Uno, monopoly or whatever the kids are up to. They go on walks, bike rides or make trips to the park or Ryan’s parent’s organic farm with chickens, goats and a miniature horse. Ryan does schoolwork with the girls and keeps them engaged in their studies.
