Hi there! We are Ashley and David. We are very excited to be on this journey of adoption and so much appreciative that you have chosen our letter and profile to look through. We acknowledge this is a very trying time in your life so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your decision to explore adoption for your baby. We believe your courageous decision is one of nothing but pure good and nothing short of a miracle for the life of one of God’s creations.
We live in a very small community/town in South Carolina. We met in 2009 while both working for the school district and have been married for 4 years. David was born and raised in the town where we live. We were fortunate enough to be given 10 acres of land by his parents and decided in 2011 to build a house on two of those acres. His parents still live in the house where he and his sister were raised which is a short walking distance from our house. He comes from a very supportive and loving family. David enjoys many outdoor activities (when it’s not too hot outside) such as fishing, landscaping and grilling. He also enjoys and is very talented at working on vehicles for repairs and/or maintenance and actually building cars and trucks from the ground up. He is loving, supportive, creative, and caring and a great partner in the journey of life.
Ashley, born in Virginia, moved into her
great-grandfather’s family home in a little town in South Carolina at the age
of 3 with her parents and sister. She grew up in that town with her
sister and numerous cousins on both sides of her family. She comes from a
very close-knit, loving and supportive family. Ashley is truly a kid at
heart. She loves all things Christmas and is a collector of Holiday
Barbie dolls and “old time” Disney movies. She is also everything country
and Beach music. Ashley is passionate, caring, energetic, genuine and
loyal. She has a close relationship with her immediate family and
extended families. We visit our families as much as time will allow due
to life events and work schedules. Ashley’s parents are retired so they
are more accessible for visits. Ashley enjoys just about any type of
outdoor activity from swimming in pools or lakes to climbing high ropes
courses. She enjoys decorating our home to match each season change and
is always active in keeping our home clean, organized and fragranced with the
latest candles from her favorite stores. We both love to relax and spend
time with family and friends. We love adventure and to travel locally to
explore new and exciting places that provide entertainment and some type of
Growing up we both had a grandmother who was the light of our lives. Not a day goes by we don’t think about those wonderful ladies but know that they are with us in our hearts and have left us with their stories, lessons and teachings we both plan to pass on to our child.
We believe in instilling values in our child including the importance of having a trust in God, always being true to your faith, dedication to your family, honesty, education, a good work ethic, learning to appreciate the simple things in life, manners, and treating others with kindness and respect. Guiding our child to accomplish these values will be our greatest responsibility.
With Love and Respect,
Ashley and David
