Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you very much for taking a few moments to learn more
about us. We can only imagine what it must be like for you to read about different
couples you have never met before– and maybe we will have the chance to meet
someday!! While we don’t know you personally, we believe that you are an
extremely strong and courageous woman to even consider this journey; and for
that, we are very grateful to you. While we know your baby will be loved and
cared for no matter which path you choose, we are honored to tell you a little
We met through a mutual friend about 10 years ago, but it
wasn’t until 4 years ago that God’s hand brought us together, we fell in love,
and began what we call a “match made in heaven.” We have seen God’s hand in
crafting our relationship and we know he has wonderful things in store for our
future. We treasure our marriage which is built on a solid foundation of trust,
mutual respect, love and lots of laughter. We place a lot of emphasis on
spending good quality time together to stay connected and keep our marriage
strong. We also strive to collaborate, work as a team and keep God at the
center of our lives by praying and being involved in several church activities.
We grew up in similar environments with parents that cared
deeply for us and gave us everything we needed to become the best versions of
ourselves: support, love, encouragement. Yet we were never spoiled and we know
the value in hard work while still balancing a healthy lifestyle. We hope
to provide a similar loving, supportive environment for your child as well. We also
have a similar love for life and enjoy traveling and doing new things! We try
to stay physically active, with either running along the beach, going to the
gym or enjoying a nice bike ride or hike.
Leo has an amazing job and works from home which makes life
so much easier and fun since we get to spend that much more time together. Carrie
currently works part time but would become a full- time, stay-at-home mother if
there was a gift of a baby. She already looks forward to being involved in
various mother groups like MOPS, ‘mothers of pre-schoolers’ or mommy-and-me
classes when the baby is young. When your child gets older, we would involve
them in any sport out there, music, surf lessons, swimming, gymnastics, horseback
riding or any hobbies he or she chooses. The sky is the limit! We have also been
blessed to go to college and get our graduate degrees and we hope to provide
your child with the best education and options possible.
We have always longed to be parents, and if given the chance,
it would be the greatest gift in our lives without a doubt. After experiencing
infertility, we have been waiting patiently, preparing as best as we can, trusting
that God has just the right baby for us. We believe that being a parent is the most
important job and rewarding role anyone could have in life, and we relish the
opportunity to care for and teach a young child, be completely silly at times
and laugh with them, engage in fun sports and games, and live life to the
fullest. I also think that being a father would provide me with the greatest
opportunity to love unconditionally.
Since she was a child, Carrie has dreamed of being a mother,
to be given the chance to hold your precious baby in her arms and to pour her
heart and soul into him or her. She has always felt being a mom was in her
blood—it comes very naturally to her to care for, nurture, and love children.
That is why she used to be a 1st grade teacher and loved to see the children’s
innocence and hear the great things they would say that would touch her heart. She
knows being a mother is a great responsibility and plans to provide a loving, nurturing,
joyful, safe, and secure home for your baby.
We both come from large extended families and treasure our
time with our parents, siblings and cousins. Summers, Christmas and
Thanksgiving celebrations are wonderful gatherings with lots of conversation,
fun outings, and hearing the latest adventures of the cousins and nieces and
nephews! We of course would create new traditions with your baby that we can
only begin to imagine and dream about!
We thank you for taking the time to read our letter and
considering us as parents for your precious baby. Again, we are inspired and
in awe of your courage and strength as you make this very courageous choice. May
God bless You always!
With love and joy,
Leo and Carrie
