would like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter and to look at
our profile. We have been married for 12 years and have 2 biological children. We
have wanted to adopt for several years. We know that you are making a very
courageous decision to place your child for adoption. We don’t know what you
are feeling or going through, but we do promise to pray for you. In fact, we
already have. We know that you have a difficult decision to make in choosing an
adoptive family to raise your child.
can promise that we will take wonderful care of your baby and he/she will
receive more love than a child can hope for. We will provide a nurturing and
safe environment for him/her and do our best to be the parents he/she deserves.
met in college and dated for 2 1/2 years before we married. When we got
married, we wanted to have 3 or 4 children and for them to be close in age. God
had other plans for us, and we were open to discovering His will for our lives.
Our children are 4 1/2 years apart and our youngest just turned 5, so obviously
it’s not what “we” had planned. The Lord told us that His plan was for us to
adopt several years ago, and we made the decision to not have any more children
of our own so that we could pursue adoption. We have done foster care for the
past few years and believe that it is now time for us to adopt. We are SO
excited to be on this journey!
enjoy spending time together as a couple, watching ballgames and taking trips
and independently enjoy sports and scrapbooking. We spend time together as a
family of 4 most of the time and can’t wait till we are a family of 5! We
know family time is important, and we spend time together often. We
attend sports activities when our son is playing baseball or soccer. We go to
church together every Sunday and on Wednesday nights. While at home, we like to
do things together outside like riding 4-wheelers, playing with our kittens,
jumping on the trampoline, playing kickball, making s'mores, working in the
garden, and we all love playing board games! With a new baby, we look forward
to teaching him or her to ride a bike and do all of the fun things we already
do with our other kids. Our children play well together and can't wait until we
have a new baby in our home! Our daughter asks every day when we are going to
get to go get our new baby. Both of our children will be great with a baby
sister or brother.
would like to leave you with our favorite Bible verses. Stephanie’s is
Philippians 4:6-7, which says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to
God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Neil’s are James 1:2-3 “My brethren,
count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of
your faith produces patience” and Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of
God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
are praying for you as you are on this courageous journey.
