Dear Expectant Mother,
We are so grateful that you are considering allowing us to
be a part of your child’s life. We understand that this is a very difficult
decision for you, but immensely admire your selflessness in putting the
happiness of your child first. We have been longing for the day that we can
bring home our first child and we will love your child unconditionally.
We met in the fall of 2012 through mutual friends. Bethany’s
friend had been dating one of Joe’s friends and they each invited us to dinner
one night. By the end of the meal, we could already feel a strong connection
toward one another, but in the excitement of the evening, we had forgotten to
exchange numbers. A few days later, Bethany received a message on Facebook from
Joe asking if she’d be interested in getting coffee. We met and after 8 hours
of talking we knew that we were meant to be together!
We got married in August of 2014 with the anticipation that
we would begin our family immediately. Each month went by and our plans
continued to be postponed. We prayed every night as we always have, hoping that
the next month would result in pregnancy. After 2½ years, we felt the good Lord
may have had something better in mind and this directed our attention to
adoption. We have been active in our church Pro-Life group and have prayed for
every young woman to consider adoption, but never knew the impact it would have
on our life.
During the past 2½ years, Joe has focused on growing his
career as an account manager in order to ensure that we could fulfill our
dreams of having Bethany at home with our future children. On the weekends, he
enjoys taking our boat out on the lake for tubing and relaxation. Joe also enjoys
playing a round of golf, competing in Tough Mudder events, and spending time
with our two dogs, Bo and Jeb.
Bethany worked as a genetic services technologist for 3 ½
years before deciding to stay at home to prepare for our adoption journey. This
will also allow for her to provide full time love and support, and to teach our
future children the values that we hold to be most dear. Bethany enjoys hobbies
such as home decorating, floral design, baking, reading and traveling to new
There are so many firsts we, our family and our friends
cannot wait to share with your child, and so many things we look forward to
learning as first-time parents. The unconditional love and support that we will
share with your child will only bring us closer as a family and closer with our
faith. We will share with your child how grateful we are that their birth mom
chose adoption and trusted us to raise her child. She is a very strong, incredible
woman who has made her child’s happiness her sole purpose. She loves them so
much that she chose the best path to ensure their happiness.
We were both raised with a strong Catholic upbringing, which
instilled in us the values of faith, hope, charity and love. We plan to
introduce these same values to your child and teach them everything we have
learned and experienced in our faith. We also plan to teach that it’s important
to be creative and enjoy every moment that we have been given together. Trying
new and fun activities are essential for building a bond that lasts a lifetime.
We want our children to know that anything is possible. As long as they work
hard and remain dedicated, there are no limits to what they can do or become.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us
as adoptive parents to your child. We know that any decision you make is going
to be in the best interest of your child. We look forward to hearing more about
