From Us to You

We admire your strength and courage in choosing life and considering an adoption plan for your baby. We wish we had the perfect words to make this time easier, but we know there’s nothing that can take away the weight of this decision. Please know that we are thinking of you with compassion and deep respect.

Though we cannot imagine what it feels like to choose an adoptive family, we believe—wholeheartedly—that your baby’s life has a beautiful and unique purpose. We also believe that no one walks through this alone, and we’re praying that you feel held, guided, and surrounded by love every step of the way.

If you choose us to be the adoptive parents of your baby, we promise to love your child unconditionally and to raise them in a home filled with love, faith, and purpose. Your child will grow up knowing they are deeply loved by you, by us, and by God.

He or she will also be raised celebrating our Hispanic heritage and Mexican culture, learning Spanish, and growing up with the values that have shaped us: joy, warmth, service, and strong family bonds.

Your baby will be cherished by our extended family, our faith community, and our close friends. We would be honored to share updates and photos with you, so you can always know how loved and safe your baby is.

We understand this is an incredibly emotional and painful decision, and we are in awe of your bravery. We hope you find comfort in knowing that your love is already shaping your child’s life in a powerful and meaningful way.

Thank you for considering us.

With love,

Héctor, Stefany & Josefina

Our Adoption Journey (so far!)

Stefany has felt the calling to adopt since she was a little girl. After trying to conceive for 2 years without success, God planted in our hearts the desire to pursue adoption. In 2019, we started our first adoption journey and in December of 2021, Josefina was born.Josefina’s birth mom decided it was best for her not to have contact with her or us. We hope in the future she reaches out and wants to meet. We would love to stay in touch with you and share photos and letters so you can be sure your child is cherished, healthy and happy!

Our Lifestyle

Fun Facts!

  • Hector skied for the first time on our honeymoon. Stefany challenged him to go all the way to the top of the mountain and ski down on day one!
  • Spicy chilaquiles is our family’s favorite breakfast meal. Josefina loves hers with lots of salsa!

What best describes our lifestyle is how much we enjoy giving back to our community. We spend much of our free time volunteering with friends and supporting different groups and events. We help teach classes, mentor couples, and organize family-oriented activities. One of our favorite things to do is support others as they grow in their personal, relational, and financial lives.

We try to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We meal plan and eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, and spend as much time as we can outdoors. We also enjoy reading, going out to eat, watching movies, and attending workshops to enrich our marriage.

We love to travel—whether it’s hiking, skiing, or cycling, we’re always looking for new adventures. Family time is very important to us. We often visit relatives in Mexico or host them at home for extended stays. We also love spending time with our close friends and their children. Our community shares our values of family, service, and living with purpose.

From Hector, about Stefany

When I first met Stefany, I never imagined I’d get to marry her someday—mostly because she lived 450 miles away! I honestly thought a long-distance relationship wouldn’t work… but then I got to know her.

We started talking through text and FaceTime, and I would see her now and then when she came to Monterrey for her friends’ weddings. The more I got to know her, the more I realized she had everything I was looking for in a woman: smart, driven, kind, funny, incredibly thoughtful, and someone with deep values and a strong sense of purpose.

What stood out to me the most was how committed she was to the things that mattered to her—family, faith, hard work, and helping others. I knew that if I took a chance on long distance, I wouldn’t regret it. And I didn’t. Years later, we got married and started building the life we had both dreamed of.

Today, Stefany is the heart of our home. She’s a full-time mom to our daughter Josefina, and I truly admire the way she pours so much love, creativity, and energy into motherhood.

She’s incredibly involved in Josefina’s daily life—whether it’s spending time at the park, reading together under a tree, going to music class, or making fun crafts at home. One of their favorite outings is story time at the local library, where Stefany sings along with Josefina and helps her discover the joy of books and learning.

She’s also intentional in how she speaks to Josefina about her story. From the very beginning, we’ve talked to her about her biological mother with deep respect and love. Stefany makes sure that Josefina knows she was born from love, and that the woman who gave her life will always hold a special place in our hearts. We often say a prayer together for her, and Josefina is growing up with a sense of gratitude and connection to her beginnings.

Stefany is the kind of mom who’s always present—not just physically, but emotionally. She celebrates the little moments, creates beautiful routines, and makes everyday life feel meaningful and fun. Watching her with our daughter reminds me every day of just how lucky we are.

About Hector, by Stefany

Héctor is one of the most steady, patient, and kind-hearted people I know. He’s the kind of person who brings calm wherever he goes—gentle, easy to talk to, and always willing to help. His service-oriented heart and quiet strength are just part of what make him so easy to love.

One of the qualities I admire most about him is how well he listens. You can talk to him about anything, and he’ll give you his full attention without rushing to fix or judge. He makes people feel seen and valued, and that’s a gift.

But what I love most about Héctor is how deeply loyal and dependable he is. I can trust him with anything—he shows up every single day, in big ways and small ones. He means what he says and follows through, and that consistency has been a pillar in our marriage and our family.

He’s also incredibly thoughtful and hands-on—whether he’s working on our garden, fixing something around the house, or planning a weekend adventure, Héctor finds joy in the everyday.

And as a dad? He’s amazing. He brings laughter, structure, and a quiet confidence to our home. Josefina lights up when he walks into the room. Their bond is something beautiful to witness—he plays with her, reads to her, teaches her things, and always makes her feel safe and loved. Seeing him be a father has only deepened the love and respect I already had for him.

Where we live

We are blessed to live in a beautiful gated community in Texas. What we like the most about our neighborhood is its great location! We are very close to playground areas, church and friends. A couple of our closest friends live right across the street from us which is great! Our neighbors are very diverse and multicultural and we truly enjoy this. During the weekdays we go the story time at the nearby library, we have play dates with little friends at the park, and go to toddler music class. During the weekends we go to church, eat out, visit with friends and like to go places like the kids museum. We also enjoy bike rides and walking our dog, Elvis.

Our Wonderful Families

We come from very close-knit families. Stefany’s parents have been married for 40 years. She has two younger brothers. One of Stefany’s brothers, Diego, is 15 years younger than her. When Diego was born she became his official nanny and she loved it! When Stefany, baby Diego and mom went grocery shopping, old ladies (it happened more than once) would approach her and ask if Diego was her baby.

Hector’s parents have been married for more than 42 years and counting. Hector has one younger brother, Gabriel, who’s 11 years younger than him. One of Hector’s fondest memories is when Gabriel was born.

Since both families are from Monterrey, the north part of Mexico, closest to the Mexico-Texas border, both families enjoy grilling (carne asada in Spanish) every weekend. Hector’s parents have properties outside the city and enjoy spending the weekends at their ranch houses. Stefany’s parents enjoy traveling back and forth between Monterrey and Texas, especially during Christmas season.

Special Traditions

Our family loves to celebrate the seasons of the year through meaningful traditions that reflect our faith and our Mexican heritage. We bring a lot of joy and intention to holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, which are filled with gratitude, music, and time together.

During Thanksgiving, we gather around the table to share a homemade meal, give thanks for the blessings in our lives, and reflect on the people who’ve shaped our journey. It’s a day filled with warmth, gratitude, and laughter.

At Christmas, we enjoy combining faith and culture in a joyful way. We take part in traditional celebrations like Las Posadas, where we sing, light candles, and remember the story of Mary and Joseph’s journey. We also share a special bread called rosca de reyes—a tradition full of fun, music, and a piñata for the kids!

These celebrations are meaningful to us not only because of our faith, but because they create a sense of belonging, joy, and connection—something we hope to pass on to every child in our home.

Our dog Elvis

We have a rat terrier dog named Elvis. He is about to turn 12 years old and has been with Stefany since he was 6 weeks old. Elvis is a very sweet and loving dog. He loves to cuddle and get tummy rubs. He also loves to play fetch. Elvis is a certified therapy pet, which means that as a family, Stefany, Hector, and Elvis have volunteered at different assisted living facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

Our Faith

Faith is at the heart of our family life. It guides our values, our routines, and how we treat others—with compassion, kindness, and purpose.

We include prayer in our everyday life, and it’s something that brings us together as a family.

We love being surrounded by friends who share similar values, and together we enjoy spending time as families—whether it’s sharing meals, celebrating traditions, or supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.

Our community is diverse and vibrant. These friendships enrich our lives and remind us that faith and family come in many beautiful forms.
