Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We can only imagine the strength it takes to consider adoption, and while we won’t pretend to know what you’re feeling, we want you to know how deeply we respect you and the love you have for your child.
If we’re lucky enough to be part of your story, we promise your child will grow up knowing where they came from and how your love made their life possible. We’ll speak of you with honesty, kindness, and gratitude. We’re open to having a relationship that feels right for you, whether that means ongoing contact or simply knowing your child is safe, happy, and deeply loved.
Our home is filled with laughter, hugs, bedtime stories, and backyard adventures. We’ll give your child a childhood full of warmth, support, and opportunity but more importantly, they’ll always know they are loved for exactly who they are. Wherever this journey leads you, we’re holding you in our hearts.
We’ve both always dreamed of having a big family. We come from families with three children, and we love the energy, connection, and joy that brings. After our daughter Miriam was born, we looked forward to growing our family again, but after several years of trying without success, we realized that adoption is the path we’re meant to follow.
Aaron is a devoted and loving dad to Rachel and Miriam, and parenting has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. We’ve also seen the beauty of adoption up close through Aaron’s sister, whose open adoption and foster-to-adopt journey have shown us just how deeply love can build a family. We’re so grateful to be on this journey and are ready to welcome another child into our hearts and home.
Our days are filled with simple joys. We take evening walks through our neighborhood, always stopping to smell the roses. We often meet up with neighbors and their dogs at the park, and we love spending weekends hiking or visiting family and friends. Each year, we plan a trip to a new National Park, where we unplug, explore, and make lasting memories together.
We also love hosting and gathering with the people we care about. Whether it’s a holiday, a birthday, or Friday night dinner, our home is full of music, laughter, and amazing food. We imagine your child growing up in a warm and joyful home, surrounded by love, tradition, and a close-knit community that will always be there to support them.
Susan is the warmest, most loving and generous wife and mother I could ever hope for. She wakes up every day ready to be there for our children in every way possible. Whether it is preparing healthy meals for our family, arranging flowers and coming up with fun art projects for our youngest daughter, being a sounding board for the trials and tribulations of our teenage daughter, she always keeps a cheerful attitude and strives to do her best. From the first day I met her, Susan has sought a partner with the same desire to grow and nurture a family together. She is ready to see the next chapter in our family begin and we both hope that will start with you and your child.
Aaron is the most wonderful husband and father. He has a warm smile, great sense of humor, and genuine love of people. An introvert and an old soul, Aaron understands the needs of others and delights in developing their inner potential. Whether reading to our children, planning the perfect vacation, grilling by the community swimming pool, or just relaxing and playing games at home, Aaron brings out the lighthearted laughter in all of us. He told me on our first date that he had always wanted to be a father, both of children born to us and children born for us. He was thrilled to become a father figure for Rachel when we married. Aaron exemplifies the warm and loving relationship possible with a family of choice. I especially adore how well Aaron and I partner together as equals to set the tone for our family.
Our home is a warm and welcoming place filled with love, laughter, and a lot of togetherness. We spend our evenings reading books with Miriam, helping Rachel with homework, practicing karate moves in the living room, and cuddling up under big blankets for movie nights with popcorn. One of our favorite shared hobbies is playing a Disney themed card game which has even led us to friendly tournaments.
We eat dinner together every night and use that time to talk about our days, celebrate small wins, and support each other through challenges. We also love gardening and recently planted seedlings from our kids’ favorite fruits and vegetables. It is a little messy but full of joy.
We live in sunny California, where summer means beach days, backyard barbecues, and swimming at our community pool. In the winter, we are just a short drive from snow covered mountains. We are also lucky to be near places like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and the San Diego Zoo, all of which we cannot wait to share with another child.
We truly love where we live and are so excited to raise a child in this vibrant, fun, and nurturing community.
We’re lucky to have a big, close-knit family that brings so much love, support, and laughter into our lives. Whether we’re celebrating holidays, going on trips, or just catching up over a meal, time with family is one of the most important parts of our lives.
Our parents have both been married for over 45 years and have been incredible role models of love and commitment. They cannot wait to welcome another grandchild into the family. Our siblings are spread out across the country, but we stay closely connected through video calls, group chats, and visits throughout the year. Between us, there are lots of cousins, including adopted children and kids of all ages who are always ready to play, laugh, and make new memories together.
We also have a circle of close friends who feel like family and are part of our everyday life. They have cheered us on in this journey to adopt and will be an important part of our child’s life. No matter where someone comes from, they are welcomed into our family with open arms. Your child will grow up surrounded by people who love them unconditionally and will be there for every step of their journey.
As a Jewish family, we value tradition, inclusion, and treating every person with kindness and respect. These are the values that guide how we live and how we hope to raise your child. We believe it’s incredibly important to honor and embrace a child’s cultural background. No matter their race or ethnicity, we are committed to creating a home where they feel seen, heard, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
We will make it a priority to fill their world with books, toys, friendships, and experiences that reflect their identity. Our goal is to make sure they grow up surrounded by love, representation, and a strong sense of pride in where they come from.
We are proud of our Jewish faith and the sense of belonging and purpose it brings to our lives. For us, Judaism is more than a religion. It is a way of life rooted in tradition, community, and a deep commitment to caring for others.
One of the things we love most about our synagogue (temple) is how beautifully diverse it is. Our community includes Jewish families from all over the world, with many different racial and ethnic backgrounds, all united by shared values and a desire to do good in the world.
Our faith teaches us to work hard, to keep learning and growing, and to help heal the brokenness around us. These values shape how we live and how we hope to raise a child with love, empathy, and a strong sense of identity and belonging.
Rachel just started high school. She is Susan’s daughter from a previous marriage and plays an important role in our family. Rachel is a black belt in karate and teaches younger students, including her little sister, Miriam. She also plays the flute in the school marching band and is a dedicated student, a thoughtful reader, and a deeply independent thinker. Rachel is incredibly excited to welcome another child into our family. She’s looking forward to sharing love, guidance, and being a positive and supportive big sister.
Miriam brings so much joy and laughter into our home. She is an outgoing, playful little girl who loves Disney movies, singing at the top of her lungs, and dancing in the living room with her family as her audience. She has a big imagination and loves creating elaborate games with everyone around her. Miriam talks often about becoming a big sister and can’t wait to have someone new to include in her world.
Sunday breakfasts We go out for breakfast every Sunday at different restaurants, chosen by a different family member each week. We enjoy relaxing together over a great meal with even greater enjoyment of each other.
Sabbath on Friday Evenings We honor our Sabbath on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings in synagogue. We pray, sing, and celebrate with our extended Jewish community, who have known our family since before our daughters were born.
Nightly walks in our neighborhood Our nightly walks in our neighborhood give us time to connect, wind down from the excitement of the day, enjoy the legendary California sunsets, the beauty of the park a few houses away, and our community of friendly neighborhood dog owners and their pets.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family. We hope this glimpse into our lives has shown you the kind of loving, supportive, and joyful home we would offer your child.
If you choose us, we promise to raise your child with unconditional love, steady guidance, and deep respect for who they are and where they come from. We will nurture their unique gifts, celebrate their milestones, and make sure they always know how deeply they are cherished.
We can only imagine how hard this decision must be, and we hold so much respect for your strength and love in considering adoption. No matter what you decide, we wish you and your child a future filled with peace, love, and possibility.
