Chris

Chris has beautiful blue eyes and a great sense of humor. From the moment of our first kiss, our story began, and I fell madly in love with him.  Chris is my best friend and someone I can open up to and express all of my thoughts and feelings without any judgement.   He is my sounding board, my rock that I can count on to be by my side through life’s ups and downs.  Chris inspires me every day to be the best person I can be by leading by example.

Chris is an only child and was raised by 2 amazing parents.   Frank and Patricia worked hard to financially provide for Chris to care for all his needs growing up. Frank and Patricia instilled in Chris the importance of family and supporting the community.

Family will always come first.  When someone is in need, Chris will volunteer to help someone out when he can.  If a neighbor needs an extra hand to carry something or borrow a tool, they know they can count on Chris to lend a hand.

I am his biggest fan and feel blessed to be married to a wonderful man who inspires me and showers me with love each day.  Chris makes our life together full of joy and laughter.  Chris’s dedication and supportive ways will make him a wonderful father and role model.

Why We're Choosing Adoption

We both love children and always wanted to be parents. After we got married, we tried to conceive naturally without success. When we learned that fertility treatments were not going to work for us, we both immediately knew that adoption would be the best way for us to grow our family. When we think about building a family, sharing our genetics has never felt like an important part of the story. Meredith has a cousin that was adopted by her aunt and uncle and we both grew up with friends who were adopted, so adoption has never felt out of the ordinary to us. Meredith loves being an aunt and has always enjoyed playing with children as the sound of laughter and smiles on their face melts her heart. Chris has a big heart and cannot wait to play games and do whatever he can to care for the child’s needs. We both would love to experience the joys of parenting and raising a child. We hope this path leads us to you and we can’t wait for us all to be family!

Our Home and Neighborhood

There are many reasons we chose to build our beautiful home in this new, diverse, gated community in Central Florida. The location — its proximity to Disney World, Universal Studios, and downtown Orlando — offers a wide variety of cultural, educational, and recreational experiences for people of all ages. There is so much to do and experience, so many joys and exciting activities, which is why we visit regularly.

Our development is family-oriented; it includes modern playgrounds, dog parks, biking and hiking trails, a large community pool, and more. We take advantage of it all. The school district’s high ratings were a contributing factor when we chose this location for building our home in this development.

Our house is a spacious, 4-bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 story home with a beautiful, landscaped backyard. We decorated the home to reflect a warm environment where guests, family, and friends are always welcome. The gourmet kitchen is where we enjoy creating nightly meals for the two of us; it is a great place for cooking feasts for company on holidays and celebrations. We look forward to creating a special nursery for our adopted child where magical moments can occur to establish everlasting bonds.

Lifestyle

We are passionate and dedicated to helping others in full time careers that we enjoy. Chris is an attorney for the State of Florida and has been a Public Defender for many years. Meredith has developed a career in Human Resources with a flexible working schedule, supporting and solving problems for her clients.

We have supported and encouraged each other in every way throughout our relationship; our love and marriage continue to grow stronger each day as we share experiences and develop new, mutual interests. We are committed to providing a warm, welcoming, loving environment at home, and after the adoption of our child, Meredith is looking forward to staying home by taking an extended leave from work. In that way we can be involved in the many activities our community provides for parents and children.

In our time together, we talk about our day, discuss and plan the days ahead; we both enjoy a wide array of activities — traveling, visiting family and friends, cooking, hiking, and enjoying the Disney World offerings. During vacation time we love traveling to other countries, cruising local islands, and enjoying the new and different foods in restaurants around the world. We await the day we can share all this with our child. Won’t it be wonderful when we can open the world, new cultures and experiences to him/her.

Our Family and Friends

My fondest memories are those of activities and events that occurred with my family. One such happy memory happened regularly each spring, summer and early fall when my mother, stepfather, brother and I joined my aunt, uncle, and baby cousin (in tow) on our nightly bike ride through our suburban development. What joy we experienced gliding past our waving neighbors! We were one big, happy family enjoying life together.
Chris and I each have very supportive immediate and extended families that are eager to become part of our child’s life as they have been part of ours. Most major holidays, summers, and vacations are spent together even though my immediate family still lives in NJ.  Technology has allowed us to see and talk together regularly; I Facetime with my mother frequently, and Snapchat with my brother and his two children who I have watched grow from babies to young adults. We enjoy weekly phone calls with my father as he remains an important part of our lives and he lives in South Jersey. My aunt and cousin live next door to our family home and have been an important part of my life since I was a young child, and we text to connect very often. Thus, my family circle has been most supportive in our efforts to grow our family and eager to see us adopt.
Additionally, I remain in contact with my long-time childhood and college friends even though we live apart, always close in heart.  I can’t imagine life without them and their families. Chris and I have developed many new friendships both in our work and neighborhood.  All our friends — old and new— have been supportive and encouraging in our efforts to adopt.

Our Promise to You

We promise that we will share with the child our adoption journey to ensure that you will always be part of your child’s story. We promise to love and support your child unconditionally and encourage him/her to pursue their dreams.

We promise to provide a warm and stable environment to grow-up and give them all the opportunities we can.  We promise that our home will be filled with joy, laughter, and music. We promise to encourage your child to do the things they love and to try new things. We promise to lead by example, and discipline with love and respect.  We promise to expose your child to different places as we love to travel, different cultures, and different types of experiences. We promise to give them tools to help them throughout their life such as schoolwork, relationships, manage stress, and the ups and downs of life. We promise to do everything we can to raise a kind, polite and respectful, and compassionate person. We promise to encourage your child to stand up for themselves and be there to advocate for them and cheer them on for the rest of our lives.
