From Us

Dear Expectant Mother,

We thank you for taking the time to learn about us as you make this tough decision. We cannot fathom the difficulties you are facing, but we know that you are being selfless and courageous. We know in our hearts that you want the best possible life for your child, and we would love to provide that for them. If you choose to entrust us with your child, we promise to unconditionally love and support them. We will provide them with a home and a family full of love, laughter, support and adventure.

We met through a mutual friend in 2010 and started dating in 2012. We immediately got along, realizing that we had many similarities in both demeanor and interests. Our third date was a 1,200 mile road trip to see the Grand Canyon and we had an amazing time. After being together for five wonderful years, we decided to get married in Las Vegas on our way home from a hiking trip in Southern Utah in 2017. Since the beginning of our relationship, we have enjoyed traveling and visiting the national parks. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking and seeing all the beauty this country has to offer. As a couple, we also enjoy cooking together, taking a drive in Rob’s classic car and just being together as a family. Our home has always included pets and we currently have four cats, two of which were inherited from other family members. We believe that having animals in a house while growing up brings joy to a child’s life.

Kristin is a math teacher and has always enjoyed working with children. The best part of her day is seeing the smile on a student’s face when they learn something new. When she is not teaching, Kristin enjoys traveling, reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening and puzzles. Rob works as an environmental regulator and is passionate about keeping the community waterways clean. Rob’s hobbies include fishing, traveling, working on classic cars, gardening and cooking.

On our journey to grow our family, we have encountered infertility and miscarriages. While this part of our journey was heartbreaking, we knew we could not let it stop us from having a child. This path has led us to adoption, with the knowledge that there is a brave woman out there, looking for the right home for her child. We dream of the future with a child that we can love with all our hearts. We look forward to precious little moments like reading a book together, seeing our child smile and laugh, seeing them walk for the first time and learning to ride a bike.

If you choose us to raise your child, know that we would provide them with love, support, guidance and compassion. We will nurture their interests and teach them about the world. Part of their world will be knowing their birth story. It is important to us to have our child know about the loving woman who allowed us to have a family.

We would be honored to give your child a loving home. If you feel that a connection between us is possible, we would love to hear from you so that we can get to know each other.

With love and admiration,
Kristin and Rob

Why We are Choosing to Adopt

We decided to have a family about four years ago but then encountered infertility and miscarriages. This did not deter us from wanting to start a family and we decided that adoption was the right path for us. We are hoping to be found and chosen by a courageous woman, looking to find a loving and caring home for her child. Adoption is the best course for us to bring a child into our lives, so that we can share our experiences and love. We look forward to the days where a child’s laughter could be heard in our home, bringing us so much joy.

About Us

We met through a mutual friend and started dating two years later. We immediately got along, realizing that we had many similarities in personality, sense of humor and interests. Our third date was a 1,200 mile road trip to see the Grand Canyon and we have been a road trip couple ever since. After being together for five wonderful years, we decided to get married in Las Vegas on our way home from a hiking trip in Southern Utah.

We enjoy going on adventures to national parks and touring new states, along with going boating at nearby lakes. We also enjoy a nice day at home to cook, garden and hang out with our cats. We both have always had cats and we currently have four, all full of energy and love. We believe that having animals in a house while growing up brings joy to a child’s life. Our Home

We live in a spacious home in Northern California. Our house has a big, beautiful backyard and front yard with nice grassy areas, fruit trees, a play structure and a vegetable garden. We have an apple, pear and fig tree, which are great for climbing and produce delicious fruit. We live in the neighborhood where Kristin grew up, so we know our neighbors very well. The neighborhood is full of families and children who play in their yards, and often have a lemonade stand during summer.

There is a nearby creek path that is a peaceful place to take a walk and has spots to play in the water and climb on the rocks. There is also a neighborhood Elementary School within walking distance, which we both attended as kids. Our house is less than an hour from the ocean, the mountains where it snows during winter, and a large city.

Our Sweet Kitties

We have four cats. They all have their own personalities. Bally is a big calico who loves to be pet, including belly rubs. Nubb is our other calico who loves attention and sitting in laps. Trinity is an energetic, long-haired gray that used to belong to Kristin’s grandmother. Spike, formerly Rob’s sister’s cat, is our newest addition and is a spunky black young cat who loves to play and run around. We feel that our cats bring positive energy to our house and will make wonderful playmates for our future child.

Our Families and Friends

Kristin’s parents and Rob’s mom live close by, and we see all of them regularly for visits and dinners. They are very excited about the prospect of having grandchildren nearby and look forward to being involved in their lives and spoiling them. Kristin also has many cousins and we both have friends who live locally, with happy and active children. Your child will have many immediate friends to play with nearby.

We both have siblings who live out of the area. We talk to them regularly and see them on holidays and other occasions. Rob’s sister has two young children who would love to have a cousin. One of our regular traditions is getting together with them. We have a great time visiting local attractions with their children, and spending time together. Kristin’s brother travels back home often so we see him regularly. He can’t wait to be the uncle that spoils his niece or nephew.

Our Lifestyle

We are avid road trippers, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. We have hiked through much of the Western US, in both sun and snow, and plan to visit as many National Parks as possible. One of our close-to-home adventures involves our jet boat which has been in Kristin’s family for many years. It’s fun and relaxing to take the boat to the lake, go swimming and have a picnic.

We enjoy spending time together, whether it’s on a trip or at home. Homegrown vegetables are the best and we enjoy watching our tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and cucumbers grow. We also have two avocado trees that we grew from seeds. Our favorite meal to make together is weekend breakfast. We have perfected scrambles with sausage and a sweet pastry. Another of our quality time activities is playing games such as Uno, Parcheesi and Rummy.

Family Traditions

Our main family traditions are around the 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The 4th of July brings together Kristin’s extended family to celebrate her mom and uncle’s birthday. The entire family gets together for fireworks, BBQ and cake. Kristin’s many cousins and their families join in on the fun.

Thanksgiving is a multi-week event in our family. The weekend before Thanksgiving is spent with Kristin’s family. The entire traditional turkey dinner is prepared and everyone is fully stuffed by the end of the evening. Thanksgiving week is spent at Rob’s sister’s house in Washington and his mom joins us there too. Rob’s sister and her husband have two children, ages 2 and 4. The week is filled with games with the children, going for walks in the beautiful neighborhood, sightseeing and enjoying our time together. Thanksgiving Day consists of lots of yummy food and good times.

Kristin, along with her mom, aunt and cousin, get together often to bake and make Christmas treats. They carry on the tradition of making chocolate truffles that was started by their grandmother over 50 years ago. Christmas is spent with Rob and Kristin’s parents, who are invited over to our house. For Christmas, the house is fully decorated with a tree full of ornaments, decorations that have been collected for many years, and many presents. The house often smells of homemade cookies. We exchange presents, then enjoy a meal together. Rob often barbeques delicious meats and Kristin bakes. It is a joyous time in this household and we look forward to passing on our traditions to your child.

What We will Teach Your Child

Education is very important to both of us and we are both looking forward to helping your child learn from an early age. This includes instilling the love of reading, math, science, art, and music. We will also teach your child to love the outdoors as we travel to National and local parks. We will share our interests with your child and will nurture theirs as well. We look forward to sharing our family traditions with your child, such as baking during Christmas and grilling on Thanksgiving.

We will also teach your child to be a good person and to be kind and compassionate. It is important for them to know and contribute to the happiness in this world. If you choose to entrust us with your child, we promise to unconditionally love and support them. We will provide them with a home and a family full of love, laughter, support and adventure.

Racial and Cultural Diversity

We have a diverse group of friends that consist of people from many cultures including the Philippines, Mexico and India. This group of friends gets together on a regular basis for dinner and games. One of our fondest memories was when our friend had a prom themed birthday party. It was a great night filled with fun and laughter. We also have a tradition of Friendsgiving, which is a pot luck that takes place at the beginning of December. With the holidays being so busy, it’s nice to have a time to get together with our friends.

Kristin’s classroom is filled with a diverse population, including Hispanic and African American students. Teenagers are full of life and always willing to share their culture. She enjoys hearing about their families and traditions.

Rob’s educational background is in Archaeology. During his studies he participated in excavations of historic sites and traveled to Mexico for research about indigenous history. Currently, Rob interacts with a culturally diverse population in his job.

We both enjoy traveling to new places to learn about the local customs and enrich ourselves with their unique history. Our furthest travel took us to Peru, where we met many people, and enjoyed their culture, architecture and food. Machu Picchu was breathtaking and full of history.

We are open to all cultures and look forward to learning more about your child’s background. We will also teach them about themselves and their history, so that we can incorporate new traditions into our family.
