Hello Expectant Mother!
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter to you. We are deeply honored that you would consider us as potential adoptive parents for your baby. We don’t pretend to understand what you are going through or how difficult it is to choose a mom and dad for your baby. We acknowledge that this is a very difficult process. Please know that we admire your courage and bravery. We know that you are doing this because you want your child to have the best life they can. We would love to provide that to your baby. We promise you that your baby will be embraced openly, loved lavishly, cared for and cherished. We are beyond grateful for you and the life that you carry.
We have a 12-year-old biological daughter named Sofia. Nothing has brought more joy to our lives than our daughter Sofia. We have always wanted more children to love and raise, but after battling infertility issues and miscarriages, we didn’t conceive. Our hearts are ready to receive and love another baby, and Sofia is excited to be a big sister!
We can’t tell you what it means to us to have the opportunity to be parents again. It is life changing and we are so grateful. Your child will grow up in an atmosphere of love, peace, and joy. We assure you that your baby will have a life full of opportunities and adventures, but most importantly, your child will be loved.
We are a very tight knit family that lives in a gated community in Los Angeles. We are committed Christians and fortunate to travel frequently as a family. Community gatherings with friends, family and church are vital to us, keeping us connected and alive. Our home is filled with love, respect, peace, and an abundance of laughter.
We look forward to connecting with you, getting to know you, and supporting you on this journey. Life doesn’t always go as planned. We are praying for you, your heart, your child, and this entire process.
Cameron, Mariela & Sofia
We promise your baby will be unconditionally loved. Your child will be cherished and celebrated every step of his/her life. We will embrace and welcome him into our family with open arms. We promise that your baby will know how much you love him and the difficult decision you had to make. We promise to always be there for your child, providing guidance, support, and encouragement. Through every step of your child’s life, we will strive to honor you and the decision you made! We promise you we will give to your child the best of ourselves and the best of what we have. We will love your baby and he will be part of our family forever. Your child will never lack anything. We will teach your baby respect, love, honor. In short, we promise that we will raise and treat your child as our own!
We have so much love to give, and we can’t keep it to ourselves. We have thought about, prayed, and contemplated all that adoption means, including both the challenges and the joys, and we want to be a forever family to another baby.
I could not be more proud of my wife – she is caring, wise and capable of anything. Mariela hails from Argentina where she worked as an attorney. I met Mariela in Argentina while I was traveling. After dating long distance, we married, and we have been married more than 20 years now. Upon coming to the USA, Mariela learned English and became an attorney in the USA as well. This is a remarkable feat.
Mariela also has a very high emotional IQ. I constantly learn how to be a better father by watching her being a mother to our daughter, Sofia. Mariela is a remarkable mother. She always makes time for Sofia, teaching her to bake, styling her hair, taking her out for special mommy and daughter dates and helping her with homework.
Mariela has a heart full of compassion and kindness. She is very loving and kind mom, full of patience and understanding. She is a peacemaker and a great encourager.
Mariela currently owns a thriving and well-established law practice that is devoted to helping victims of domestic violence as well as unaccompanied immigrant children. Mariela is passionate about helping others and empowering them to win in life and overcome hardship. Mariela herself, overcame many hardships as a child, and her life has become a living testimony of what faith in God can do in someone’s life. She is my best friend, and I cannot imagine doing life without her.
Cameron is an incredible father and husband, and I don’t even know to start to describe him. I don’t know how I got so lucky – he has endless amounts of energy, and he is super fun to be around. Cameron is always taking care of everyone, especially Sofi and me. He is a marvelous father and an excellent provider.
Sofi loves her dad. He always finds time to spend time with Sofi and me. He would do anything to make his little girl happy. He will dress up with her, sing with her, teach her music, go dancing, bowling, swimming… he takes her on adventures, coaches her soccer team, organizes a birthday party for her dogs. They go ziplining, skating, camping. He takes her to her dream places. Cameron planned a whole trip to Vienna so Sofi could wear a special dress in a formal gala because it was her dream. He would move heaven and earth for us. He is very sacrificial and puts us first all the time. Cameron is the best dad – his heart is so big, and he has so much love to offer.
Cameron was born in the USA (with an Aussie mum). He studied Spanish and went to school in Spain. Now he owns a translation company that translates Christian books and complex legal contracts. He is also an active long term real estate investor.
Music plays a vital role in our home. Cameron is a musician, songwriter, and worship leader, along with our daughter Sofia (who sings like an angel). He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying activates ranging from hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, scuba diving and kayaking to name a few.
We live in a safe, gated community, nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains of Los Angeles. Our home is a 4500 sq foot 4-bedroom home with three bathrooms. We have a spacious backyard with a pool (with a safety fence) that’s perfect for children to play.
Although the baby will have his own bedroom, I am looking forward to having a bassinet in our bedroom filled of toys and all those wonderful blessings that a baby brings to a home. Our lives are full, with many close-knit friends. We love to host gatherings in our home that include volleyball games, basketball, swimming, and barbecues! We are passionate about community, connection, and friends; and so are our golden retrievers, Mishah and Marlie.
We are committed Christians and are actively involved in our church. We bought our home, with its inviting backyard and pool to be able to host community church gatherings, and that is what we do. We believe home is to be a safe place filled with love, laughter, and the ability to dream.
We are an entrepreneurial family and own businesses. We have a lot of freedom in our schedule – we work hard, and we play hard. We love spending time together as a family and discovering new places and new adventures. Our family loves to travel. We travel frequently, both domestically and internationally for family vacations. Our child Sofia always travels with us.
We find traveling together enriches us, relaxes us, expands our understanding of the world, and grows us closer as a family. We enjoy visiting places that are adventurous. From spending New Years at a ball in Vienna, ziplining in Mexico, glacier cruising in Alaska or going on a pilgrimage to Italy, you will find us there, together as a family.
Music plays a big role in our lives. We love making music together as a family. Sofi plays piano and sings. Cameron is also a musician. Sofi has a lot of fun making music and singing with her friends. Sometimes we spend time at home redecorating parts of the house. During the summer we love to come home from work and swim with Sofi in the pool. We have smores at night in the fire pit and invite friends over. We always strive to give our children opportunities to enjoy different kinds of activities; helping them to develop their musical and athletic talents.
We speak Spanish and English at home and are a fully bilingual family. We have spoken to our daughter in Spanish since she was a baby. Thankfully, this will open many doors for her. We hope to pass this gift on to your child as well. We are a half Latino family, so hosting friends around food is an important part of the culture and we just love people.
Holidays are important to us. So, we go tend to go big when we celebrate Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. Cooking becomes a marathon where everyone lends a hand and enjoys the creative chaos. Cameron’s mom, who is Australian, comes and prepares delicious meals for the family. We combine that with Mariela’s uncle from Argentina, who has Italian heritage and bakes the most delicious breads, pastas, cakes, and goodies.
