From Me to You

I am very grateful and incredibly honored to be considered to be your baby’s mother and to provide your baby with a long-term family and home filled with lots of love and laughter. I recognize this is not an easy decision, and I admire and respect your courage and strength to take this very important and loving step for you and your baby.

I have wanted to be a mother my entire life, and I am extremely excited about the opportunity of adoption! After struggling with infertility, my desire to raise a child and give them the love, support, and opportunities every child deserves just became stronger. The idea of adoption seems very natural to me as the next step in my life journey overall. I came from a very loving family with high morals and strong values, where I was taught to care about others. My experience growing up makes me want to pass along everything I learned to my own child one day and to also have those fun family experiences to remember forever. Whether it be traveling to a foreign country, dining out at a local restaurant, talking next to a warm fire, watching a movie with popcorn, or playing a board game at home in the living room, I want to enjoy it with my own future child who I will love and adore for the rest of my life.

Bringing your baby into my family traditions is something I look forward to and have been dreaming of for such a long time. Friday movie nights, afternoon walks with our dog, family dinners, reading books in the evenings, and summer traveling are only some of the memories I can’t wait for us to make. My extended family will also welcome us as a family unit and shower your baby with so much love and affection. We will establish new traditions to carry forward that will become cherished and enjoyed for years to come.

My heart is ready for your baby to be the focus of my life and family. If you choose me, I promise to teach and instill values of love, gratitude, compassion, and tolerance along with the foundational skills associated with hard work and education. I promise to have fun with your child and to show them different parts of the world. I promise to give them the opportunity to explore and fulfill their own dreams through a variety of experiences. I promise to expose your child to music, sports, books, movies, arts and crafts, and anything else in which they show interest. I promise your child will have a home environment that is loving and safe.

Throughout all of these experiences, we will never forget that your selfless act brought us together. I have no hesitation about adoption. This is the right path for me, and I am extremely excited!

Why I'm Choosing to Adopt

I have been interested in adoption for many years, and because I struggled with infertility, it seems like the appropriate step for me. I want to be a mother, and believe now that adoption is meant to be my avenue to make that a reality. I want to adopt because giving a child a family that their birth parents are unable to give seems like a gift I want to give, as well as receive. I can provide the birth mother and father the comfort they want that their baby will be loved and cherished in a safe environment with a lot of support.

About Me

I am both family and career-oriented, and always embrace opportunities to enrich my life in both aspects. Although I grew up and currently live in Southern California, I have also traveled and lived abroad several times during high school and while a student and graduate of UCLA, as I enjoy learning different languages and experiencing other cultures. Education and learning are important to me, whether it be via formal classroom learning or via experience. My career as a Senior Vice President in the healthcare industry has taught me over the years to be a strong leader, and I allow my values and empathy to guide me along the way. I am relatively reserved by nature but like to approach things with an open mind and a sense of humor along the way. I enjoy many hobbies such as playing the piano, crocheting, and reading. Walking my dog is another regular activity, as I love animals!

My Lifestyle

My lifestyle is quite calm and simple. Although I am a working single woman, I will be able to balance this and childcare through a couple of avenues. I work from home over 75% of the time and will arrange for in-home care for the baby at all times. During my work hours, childcare will be rendered by my mother, the baby’s future grandmother, or by a well-experienced nanny in the home when my mother might be unavailable. I love my time at home relaxing with a good book, a good movie, and listening to music. I love to travel and intend to increase this going forward. Learning and education are also very important, so reading will be a daily and fun activity.

My Home & Pets

I live in a three-bedroom family home in a suburban Southern CA neighborhood with my chocolate Labrador, Bear, and two lovable cats, Abby and Pepper. My pets are the loves of my life, and I have so much fun spending time with them playing and walking (and yes, I do talk to them, and they talk back!). I love spending time in my home – watching movies, crocheting, reading, playing the piano, or just hanging out with family or friends. I live in a very safe, family-friendly, and quiet neighborhood. My neighbors are friendly, and it is a safe environment. There are many dogs being walked on the streets where I live, which is one of my favorite things to watch! There is a bedroom in my house waiting to be made into a nursery!

My Family & Friends

I come from a small immediate family with no siblings, but we make up for it with a tremendous amount of love and support. We travel together, play golf together, watch movies, and play games, and just love spending time making more memories. I also have an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom I am close.

My family and friends are extremely excited for me to grow my own family through adoption, and they will welcome this new addition with open arms!

Family Traditions

Christmas Eve is an annual family tradition filled with good homemade food, gift exchanges, Christmas carol piano playing and singing, and a lot of fun and laughter. My aunts, uncles, and cousins all come over, and I would greet them with special chocolate candy and peanut brittle that I personally make and wrap for them each year. A separate holiday tradition that I spend with my mother during holiday time is our cooking of celery soup, one of my favorite foods — both healthy and delicious!

My Relationship with My Parents

As an adult, I have developed a friendship with both my mother and my father We have a good time together, and I still look to them for advice along the way. I view them both as very wise individuals who can share their life experiences with me from which I can learn. The primary element of our relationship that has changed since I have grown up is that they will ask me for my thoughts and opinions on things that I may be better versed in now than before. And out of all the places in the world, I can always rely on still feeling safe with them.  Given the recent passing of my father, I look to my mother still a source of comfort when I need it, and I know she always has my best interests in mind.

My Relationship with You

I am open to exploring various types of relationships with you. I will be respectful of your wishes on how much exposure or not you would like to have in your baby’s life. I would be happy and willing to share photos of special events and milestones and have some occasional calls via phone or FaceTime. I would be open to text message exchanges and emails as well, according to your comfort level and desire. Regardless, I will always share the courage YOU had to allow your baby to come into my life and become my family.

Cultural Diversity

I have had a lot of contact with people from different backgrounds. Living in Southern California definitely has an innate and organic exposure to different ethnicities and cultures, allowing for a richer and more diverse environment. I spent my educational career focused on studying foreign languages, which led me to learn about those cultures as well. I also traveled abroad to study multiple times and lived with native families in those countries. Additionally, my high school was also a boarding school for students from other countries, many with whom I became friends throughout those years. I thoroughly enjoy learning about other cultures and have absolutely no adversity to this. I look at diversity of knowledge and experience as a strength everyone should experience, and intend to provide as much exposure to different heritages and cultures as possible. I appreciate differences in people and am looking forward to the uniqueness of my future child. I fully intend for that child to teach me as many different things along the way as I intend to teach him or her.

My Promise to You

If I would be fortunate enough to be selected as the adoptive parent for your baby, I would be so grateful! My promises to you about filling your baby’s life with endless love and affection would be eternal. I promise to have fun and make lots of memories. I promise to teach your baby everything I know and provide opportunities for the best education. I promise to expose your baby to experiences involving travel to other parts of the world, as well as experiences that allow them to learn and grow and find out what they like. I promise to always protect your baby and provide a safe and comfortable home. Most of all, I promise to share with your baby what a wonderful, courageous, and selfless decision you made when they were born, and how lucky I am that we found each other — and that, I promise to never forget.
