We firmly believe in the power of community because it takes a strong family to raise a child. This is not just a cliche but our core values, intentions, and aspirations as adoptive parents. Our community is a vibrant tapestry of cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, nieces, nephews, godchildren, close friends, and other loving parents raising their little ones. We fill our days with laughter, joy, and celebration, whether it is by attending a birthday party or a simple get-together. We are ready and eager to nurture your baby, ensuring they are loved and feel cherished. We are committed to providing your baby with a loving and supportive environment and we are prepared to work with our community to make this a reality.
We are known as the matchmaker couple because we have a knack for bringing people together and fostering lasting relationships. Our covenant love is genuine, solid, and built on friendship and faith. We are a team that complements each other: Sharon is the motivator, Lawrence is the inspiration, and together, we are best friends lighting each other’s pathway. We have traveled to exotic sunny islands yet can be satisfied watching Netflix on a fun date night.
Our passion is expressed outside our home. We enjoy mentoring, pastoring, and coaching others. One of our most significant accomplishments is impacting communities by teaching about God’s love. We clothe and feed people and can sit with policymakers to discuss the most pressing needs.
We are reminded that love in action is kindness, support of one’s dreams, building healthy relationships, and thankfulness for each other. We want your baby to experience the love of God that enhances positive and healthy self-esteem. The kind of steadfast love that aspires to success, believes in one’s vision, and can follow one’s star. Your baby will feel the wind beneath their wings; that wind is Lawrence and Sharon. That is our commitment to you.
We are willing to love you through the adoption process. Our love in action will give you peace of mind by knowing that your baby’s future is with a loving couple who dares to dream of becoming an adoptive parent to your precious baby.
We want to adopt because we want to…
Everyone should have a dream. Our dream is to be parents and raise a child in an environment where they can cultivate dreams, too. We want to expand our family through adoption as our choice. We have seen the positive outcomes of adoption and believe we can care for your baby and love you through the adoption process.
Get to Know Us: A Quick look into our day-to-day life experiences.
We enjoy having inspirational conversations about our dreams over scrumptious meals! Some of our favorite meals are lasagna, fresh green salad, baked herb chicken, and macaroni and cheese. We also enjoy juicing and vegan-style foods. As parents, we will ensure your baby has the best healthy nutritional meals and take the time to speak positive, affirming words.
Our weekends are always filled with activities. Whether it’s enjoying seafood at the pier, hosting a backyard BBQ on July 4th, attending ballet dance recitals and birthday/special parties, or taking a train to New York for more fun, there’s always something to do. We can’t wait to experience these things with your child as well.
We both enjoy our professional careers and have received numerous awards and recognition to show our dedication and passion for work. Work-life-balance is essential. We have time to read a good book or take brisk walks or exercise to keep active.
Sometimes, we prefer high excitement at a live concert, ministering at our church, and enjoying each other’s company. We know couples with young children; our home will be filled with love, laughter, and chatter
Sharon’s love language is words of affirmation. She calls me by three nicknames, and I answer to all of them. Some would call her an encourager, sweet with a lovely presence. I call her “My Rose of Sharon,” my wife, best friend, and greatest supporter.
She is uncommonly kind to everyone she engages. One excellent quality is that she loves meaningful conversations and connecting with others on common interests. She will hold you captive and drop gems of wisdom if you are talking about family, women, and children topics. This is her passion; she lives it out in words and service. She has mentored so many young women that they call her “Mama Sharon” affectionately.
Sharon lives by faith, love, and joy. She says, “What would life be like without those three.“
Lawrence’s love language is gift-giving. He gives big and beautiful gifts. He is also present at celebratory milestone events with a sentimental card or wrapped box in hand for family and friends.
What I love most about Lawrence is that he has supported many parents and their children in our community. Teaching and mentoring them, providing for them, dressing them for their prom, and ensuring they had jobs are a few acts of kindness he has exemplified.
Lawrence receives many invites to special occasions for the children he has mentored. One young man who recently got married invited us to his wedding. He mentioned that Lawrence influenced him to do the right thing and valued him as part of his community. This is one story of many; Lawrence’s footprints on young people’s lives testify to his acts of kindness and love for God.
We live in a suburban community surrounded by trees, bike trails, and a well-maintained state forest where children can learn about nature, animals, and camping. A great play date is a visit to the state-of-the-art recreation center, horse arena, and Six Flags Amusement Park, which offers summer camp activities for children’s development and a pool park for families. We have the best multicultural and diverse schools in our district. Lawrence is building us a big home that will have a playroom and backyard for your baby to run, jump, learn, and have child-like fun. We would love for your baby to join us for a play date at the park.
Morning walks around our neighborhood are safe. There’s a pool, tennis courts, playground area, and lush flowers to smell. Some of our neighbors have children, and you will see them riding their bicycles and walking their pets or a mother taking a stroll with her baby carriage. A quick ride to the grocery store, ice cream parlor, or Starbucks is typical for us.
We live just 30 minutes from the nation’s Capital, where the city offers a wealth of family-fun opportunities, from visiting the White House and Historical Monuments to attending Children’s Learning Events. We like to take in a baseball game or visit the water wharf for an outdoor concert. We live in a flourishing area where your baby will cultivate the gifts to grow, learn, and succeed.
We are the favorite aunt and uncle, and our nieces and nephews look to us as role models and mentors. Whether school shopping, sending them off to college, or providing advice on healthy relationships, our tribe will welcome your baby to the fold, ranging from one-year-old to young adult family members. There will be an abundance of nurturers in our community.
We go big during Christmas and birthdays! This includes delicious meals, exchanging gifts, family hugs, and beautiful connections of acceptance and happiness.
We have two beautiful godchildren to enjoy. One is seven years old, intelligent, and loves to excel in school. We are nurturing him to become the next president of the United States. Our cute 4-year-old goddaughter loves being a princess. Our godchildren are never short on birthdays and Christmas celebrations. From Ralph Lauren to Burberry outfits, we find joy in presenting the best, just like we would for your baby. Your baby will meet them all one day and experience our protective and supportive community where love is displayed, and diverse cultures are welcomed at the celebration table.
We are great people, living ordinary lives and doing extraordinary things. That is how our parents raised us. They helped shape our lives through meaningful conversations and by teaching us about:
We want to be the kind of parents who can raise your baby to achieve greatness. We want to cultivate their potential and encourage them to succeed. We want to ensure your baby has a colorful, amazing, and unique story that combines our adoption stories. Communicating our adoption journey with your baby builds trust and understanding, but most importantly, it is the right thing to do.
That is our commitment to you.
Our passion is supporting young people in their faith experiences. Our work was so impactful that we received a license to continue this work and serve our local congregation and community as pastors. When a family prays together, we believe they will stay together and make a difference with each other.
Volunteering We take great joy in supporting a local elementary school. We also donated over 500 backpacks filled with school supplies for students. We’ve hosted a Christmas Wonderland event for elementary school students full of candy, gifts; including bikes, computers, and toys for children. We even raised funds to provide baby supplies for new mothers and first-generation college-bound students. Every November, we give away turkeys to families so that they can enjoy delicious Thanksgiving meals.
Travel We love to visit places in the Caribbean, Mexico, or Florida. Imagine your baby traveling with us to enjoy all the fun and cultural activities. We want your baby to see great places and experience a well-rounded life.
Celebrations We find delight in celebrating birthdays, holidays and anniversaries. Our family will be excited to welcome your baby into our celebration circle, where love is shown inside and outside the home.
We promise to create a loving environment, one that will nurture and support your baby as they grow into a healthy, strong, and exceptional young person.
We promise to always love, protect, and care for your baby.
We promise to provide the best and surround them with healthy relationships.
We promise to give unconditional love We promise to pray for them and introduce a loving God that brings peace.
If our story inspired you, we can share this incredible adoption journey with you at every milestone and celebratory moments.
Thank you, Lawrence and Sharon
