Lifestyle

Our family loves exploring the world around us. We cherish trips to the beach, where we can spend the day building sandcastles, collecting seashells, or just enjoying the ocean breeze. We also love the peace and adventure that come with trips to the mountains, whether it’s hiking, camping, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. We can’t wait to share these adventures with your child and create new traditions and memories as a family.

At home, we’re always surrounded by our pets—a dog, a cat, and two guinea pigs— who add so much joy and playfulness to our lives. Pets will always be part of our family because we believe they teach valuable lessons about love, care, and companionship. Matt also works at a toy company, so there’s always a fun new toy to try out! Our home is a warm, playful place where your child will have plenty of opportunities to explore, imagine, and grow.

Meet David!

David is the Ying to my Yang. He’s the person who always pushes me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to try new things and experience life in ways I might never have considered on my own. Whether it’s trying a new activity, exploring a different place, or just embracing the unexpected, David has this amazing ability to make life feel like an adventure. I love that he always seeks to live life to the fullest.

He goes out of his way to make sure his family and friends are doing well, and he’s always the first to drop everything and help when someone is in need. It’s something I deeply admire about him—his ability to make everyone around him feel valued and cared for.

David’s adventurous spirit, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends are just a few of the many reasons why I love him. I can’t wait to see how he brings all of that into our journey as parents, and I know our child will be so lucky to have him as a father.

Meet Matt!

Matt is one of the most caring and nurturing people I know. His love for animals truly shows how compassionate he is. No matter how busy life gets, he always makes time to care for our pets, ensuring they never miss a meal, their checkups, or any health concerns. His attention to detail and the way he goes above and beyond for their well-being speaks volumes about the kind of person he is—someone who deeply values the lives around him, no matter how small.

He is patient, attentive, and consistent. You can already see these qualities in how he treats his nieces and nephews. Matt makes it a priority to attend as many of their sporting events as possible, and he never misses a birthday or important milestone. He is one of the most consistent and involved uncles I’ve ever seen, always offering support and making each child feel special and loved. I know he will bring the same level of care, dedication, and love to your child.

Our Home and Pets

We live in a medium-sized town in Massachusetts, about a 45-minute drive from Boston, 45 minutes from the beach, and 90 minutes from the mountains. We love making the most of this ideal location. Our home is situated on a quiet dead-end road, with a lake across the street and a forest at the end of the road. We often take our dog for walks along the wooded paths. The school system here is excellent, with each graduating class having a little over 100 kids. These children often stay together from kindergarten through graduation, making it a great environment for building lifelong friendships. At home, David enjoys flying his drone and capturing videos of the neighborhood throughout all four seasons.

Our Family

Our family may not be very large, but we are extremely close-knit. We’re fortunate to live with Matt’s mom, a kind, sweet, and gentle soul who shares a special bond with her only grandchild. He loves spending time with his Mimi, and she cherishes every moment with him.

Matt also has a biological brother and sister, along with a sister figure who has been a part of his life since he was four. All of us live within 10 miles of each other and see one another regularly.

David’s family is also close. While half of them live in Texas, we make it a priority to see them as often as possible. His sisters and nephews who live nearby are an important part of our lives, and it’s common for both sides of the family to come together for holidays and vacations.

Racial and Cultural Diversity

David and I are passionate about embracing and celebrating diversity in all its forms. Coming from different racial and cultural backgrounds—David being Puerto Rican and I being white—has enriched our lives and strengthened our understanding of cultural blending. Our marriage has shown us how to honor and respect each other’s traditions, values, and experiences, and we are committed to fostering that same openness and acceptance in our child. We are excited to raise a child with an appreciation for their unique heritage, knowing that love transcends cultural and racial boundaries.

We’re passionate about lifelong learning, and we dream of encouraging a child to follow their interests.

Traditions

Annual Summer Beach Trip This tradition dates back to Matt’s childhood, as his family has been going to the same beach for generations. Now, Matt’s extended family joins us for a week of fun, and David’s family has also embraced it as their own tradition. In fact, because the beach holds such a special place in our hearts, David and I chose to get married there during one of our vacations. We can’t wait to share these beach trips with your child, creating new memories together by the ocean.

Football Sundays It’s common for the family to gather at Matt’s sister’s house to watch the game, hang out, and enjoy each other’s company. Some of us watch football, while others chat, and the kids often play football or basketball outside. David’s family often joins these gatherings too, and there’s always plenty of food for everyone.
