From Us to You

First, we want to honor and acknowledge the incredible step you are taking for your beautiful child. What you are doing is an act of courage, compassion, and profound love. The thoughtful decision you are making for your child will have a lasting impact on so many lives. There are truly no words big enough to express the depth of our gratitude, but please know that we will always carry immense appreciation and respect for you.

As you consider what the future may look like for your child, we want to share a little about who we are. We are a fun, close-knit pair who value laughter, connection and making everyday moments meaningful. Our life is full of family gatherings, cozy nights at home, game nights and joyous travels! Robert is an incredible chef, and he so looks forward to creating meals for and with your child! Marna is a wonderful singer/musician and she cannot wait to sing lullabies and create music dedicated to your child!

We are grounded, supportive, and very excited to grow our family with the same warmth and joy that shape our lives today. At the same time, we want to be honest, there is fear, too. Not fear of parenting, but of the unknown. We believe fear is a natural part of any new journey, gently reminding us that we are stepping into something incredibly important. Adoption is a journey that requires strength and courage from everyone involved, and we feel that deeply. Our excitement, hope, and commitment far outweigh any nerves. We know in our hearts this path is leading us exactly where we are meant to be, and we are ready to embrace it with all the love we have to give.

Why We Are Choosing to Adopt

We have always wanted to adopt! Becoming parents has always been one of our greatest hopes. As we talked about our future together, we knew adoption was the path that felt right for our family. Because of Marna’s disability, pregnancy was not the best option for her, and she made that decision early on. Robert has supported that choice from the very beginning, and adoption has always been part of the future they envisioned together.

We are both so excited for this journey. We also understand that this may be a very emotional journey for you. We hope you know how deeply we respect the thoughtful decision you are making for yourself and your child. A child welcomed into our family will be deeply loved, supported, and cherished every day.

Lifestyle

We are a very outgoing and adventurous couple who cannot wait to welcome a little one into to our lives. We promise your child will always know joy, laughter and fun.

We dream of a day where we can experience all of our favorite activities with a child. For example, HOLIDAYS. We are those people that fully decorate for any holiday. We dress up for Halloween and love to give candy out to all the little trick-or-treaters! For Thanksgiving, we always surround ourselves with family and good food. And for Christmas, our house is always the brightest on the block!

Even our normal day to days are filled with fun. We enjoy playing board games and video games. We love listening to and making music. Our home is never dull.

We are a very musical couple! Early in to our relationship we started attending karaoke, we have been going to the same location for almost 10 years. For the last 2 years we started hosting our own karaoke night every other week at a local restaurant, where all our friends, their kids, our family and our community come together for a night of music and fun! It is one of our favorite things to do, and brings so much joy to us and our regulars.

As much fun as we hope to have with a child, we also want to raise them with good morals and values. We hope to provide a safe and happy home for a child to grow into a great human.

About Marna by Robert

Marna is a wonderful wife and care taker for our household. She is on top of everything. She is the one that makes sure our house is secure before trips. She makes sure all our plants and animals are fed. Marna is wonderful with children. She has a natural way of connecting with them on their level while also knowing how to provide guidance and set boundaries when needed. She is constantly thinking of ways to make our home a fun and welcoming place for our friends’ children when they come to visit. I know that if you choose us to parent your child, they will have an incredibly loving mother. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and quick wit are just a few of the many reasons I know she will be a great mom. She is the heart of our home, and I know that as long as we have her, our family will always feel loved and cared for.

A part of Marna’s story: A little about my disability. I was born with a muscle and joint disorder called Arthrogryposis. My disability does not get worse, and I am very capable of living a full and independent life. I believe that being disabled has taught me confidence and integrity. I have learned to adapt and overcome any obstacle that comes my way. I look forward to raising a child around disability. I want them to know that being different is something to be celebrated, and that our differences help make us who we are.

About Robert by Marna

Robert is meant to be a father. Before I met Rob, I always knew I wanted to be a mom, but it was never something I felt rushed toward. Once I met my husband, I knew he was who I had been waiting for. Now I dream about raising a child with him every day. He is a very caring and loving man. I know he will do everything to make a child feel happy, safe, secure. Robert is the most accepting, non-judgmental man i have met. He has such a way with kids, he can play video games with them, or color with them and make them feel seen and comfortable.

I have the utmost confidence that, if you choose us to raise your child, you can find comfort in knowing they will be deeply loved. They will be surrounded by laughter, unconditional love, and a deep sense of belonging. Robert will be the greatest father.

Our Home

We are so blessed to live in Southern California, where the weather is usually a beautiful 75 degrees. Rob grew up in the high desert, while Marna grew up near the beach. Today, we live in a wonderful neighborhood on a quiet cul-de-sac. Every day we see our neighbors walking their dogs, riding bikes with their kids, and enjoying time outside together. We look forward to the day we can take evening strolls with our two dogs and a child!

We live in a lovely one-story home with two bedrooms, a large backyard with an above-ground pool, and plenty of room for family fun and making memories.

Our favorite part about our neighborhood is our lake! We love visiting the lakeside restaurants, and riding the trails. Sometimes we join our friends and their kids for music nights at our local park. We dream of the day we can share these moments with a child.

Our Family

Marna comes from a very large, extended family. Her parents are divorced and happily remarried, and each of them is excited to become a grandparent. She has eight siblings, including half, step, and full siblings, but they are all loved equally. With such a big family, there is always someone to lean on or learn from. Every family gathering is filled with stories, traditions, and the kind of warmth that only a big family can bring.

Robert comes from a smaller family, but one that is just as full of love. He was raised by a strong and loving mother who did everything she could to make their home feel stable, warm, and full of possibility. He has two sisters who have given him wonderful nieces whom he absolutely adores.

Together, we have many nieces and nephews who are so excited to welcome a new cousin. Our family may be a mix of big and small, but it is deeply connected by love, and everyone is excited for this new chapter.

Our Pets

We have 5 of the greatest animals you can imagine. Although we might be biased, as they are ours. But imagine, that is how we would love your child! Anyways, we have 2 Aussie shepherds, Sawyer & Sully. 2 cats, Piper & Eloise. And a swimming turtle named Tipsy. Our animals are kind, cuddly, and hilarious. All the fur babies love the turtle, and Tipsy doesn’t seem to mind them. Your child will live a life around animals that are loving and fun!

Traditions

Every year, we attend the county fair, and we even buy season passes! We love the atmosphere, the food, and all the fun that comes with it. It’s a tradition we look forward to every year, and many of our family and friends join us. We cannot wait to experience all the magic the fair has to offer with a child!

Speaking of magic, Christmas is another tradition we are especially excited to share. We currently celebrate with each of our families and have many meaningful traditions, but we also look forward to creating new ones together as we grow our family!
