Thank you so much for looking into our profile and learning a little more about us. We cannot imagine the emotions that come along with this decision, but we want you to know that you are loved and so respected. To us, you are so brave and strong. We want you to know that we promise to care deeply for your child, love them, and give them an amazing life.
Here is a little more about us: we have been friends since middle school, and our friendship grew as we participated in sports together. We finally began dating at the end of senior year and the rest is history. William is an electrician, which he began right out of high school. Erin works in the veterinary medicine field and is continuing her education. Of course we have many animals due to all the rescues Erin has picked up from the veterinary clinic! Your child will be sharing a home with our two dogs, Benjamin and Mabel, as well as our three cats, Suki, Rachel, and Tortellini. We bought our first home in October of 2024, yes the same month we got married, and have spent time preparing it for the possibility of starting a family here. We are so ready to welcome a child into what we have built together. We love adventures and cannot wait to bring them along as well.
Being parents is something we have always wanted, especially now that we will be doing it together. If you choose us, we promise to bring safety, comfort, and joy to your child throughout their life. We will ensure they know where they came from, follow traditions, and will know that you are a strong person that they can always look up to. We are okay with how open you would like to be throughout this process, because we believe you matter just as much.
With love,
Erin and William
Adoption has never been a “Plan B” for us; it’s a path Erin has held in her heart since childhood, shaped by her mother’s work helping families find one another. While infertility brought its own challenges, it ultimately led us back to the place we always talked about being. We know that every step of this journey has been leading us to our future child, and we are so ready to offer them a lifetime of unconditional love.
We have always wanted to become parents. We cannot wait to bring a child on all our adventures with us and get to show them all the amazing things this planet has to offer. A child will truly enrich our lives and show us love we never knew existed. There will be endless laughter, love, growth, patience, and sacrifices. Being able to grow a family together is all we want to do and it will bring us so much closer.
We live a very family-oriented lifestyle, but also love to adventure together. There is never a dull moment in our lives. We spend as much time as we can with our family, we try to vacation when possible, and love to discover new things.
A day-to-day for us currently is waking up early in the morning, going to the gym, taking the dogs for walks, making home cooked meals, cleaning the house (we have dogs that seriously shed), and relaxing on the couch watching a show together before we go to bed. If we’re not home on the weekends we are either with family at one of our childhood homes, or we like to frequently go up north with Erin’s family and will spend long weekends in a cabin there. We are looking to branch out to newer things and discover new places and can’t wait to bring our future child along with us.
We hope to have a farm someday as well with all sorts of animals that our future child can be around, learn about, and help care for. Erin grew up on a farm, and she believes that is where her love of animals came from. We both love music and sports and would like to incorporate those into our future child’s life, but also give them the freedom to choose what they would like to do.
Some fun facts about us are that we really enjoy going on adventures and traveling. It is our dream to visit every National Park. We both are big sports lovers, but especially basketball, cross country, and track. William was actually born in Texas, but moved to Michigan when he was a baby and mostly grew up here. Erin grew up on a farm in southern Michigan. We are both big animal lovers!
What We Do For Work:
Will is an electrician and began his career right out of high school. He has excelled greatly in his career and strives to get more knowledge within his field to do more. His schedule is very flexible which makes things easier as our family grows.
Erin started college with a major in Environmental science, however midway through found her path in veterinary medicine. She has a big love for animals and enjoys working with them and people all day long. She may revisit Environmental studies in the future.
My wife, Erin, is one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. She has taught me the importance of always helping others and leading with empathy. She has a naturally calming and welcoming presence, which draws people and animals to her. Over the years, she has rescued and cared for many animals in need, showing patience, responsibility, and genuine love. Erin is also very mindful about living a healthy and environmentally conscious life, which reflects the kind of values she will pass on as a parent. She is incredibly loyal and has always been by my side through everything. Children naturally gravitate toward her. My younger cousins love playing with her, just as my siblings did when we first started dating. She has a wonderful balance of being fun, playful, and organized. She knows how to create joy while also planning ahead and providing structure. I truly believe these qualities will make her an amazing and nurturing mother.
Will has the most calming spirit and never fails to be my rock. He is the love of my life, and I am so happy to be his wife. His humor lights up my days, his drive is admirable, and he is genuinely the most caring, smart, and good-hearted man. He has changed my life for the better, gifting me with shared dreams and journeys. During high school, I watched Will face a grueling recovery after a tragic car accident. He had to relearn everything from walking to playing guitar. Though the outlook was grim, he defied every statistic. Today, he isn’t just recovered; he runs marathons and works hard for our family. I am constantly in awe of his miraculous resilience. Because of this, I have no doubt Will is going to be an amazing father. He is already a great dad to our fur babies and will love our future child endlessly. Watching him have a little one running by his side will only make me love him more.
When buying our house, we moved much closer to family, choosing a home with a fenced-in backyard and a manageable commute. We bought it just days before our wedding and spent our honeymoon moving in and making it cozy. As it is an older home, we are continuing to renovate and update it.
We live downtown near a trail and a creek, in a safe, respected community where many families live. Our city is “on the rise” with a booming economy and new businesses. It is refreshing to see so many homes being updated, and it feels homier each day. We love the diversity here and there is always so much to see and do.
Erin grew up in a family of 5, with her being the middle child. It was her mom, dad, big sister, and little brother. Everyone is very tight-knit in her family, with her grandmother also living right next door. Erin is extremely close with her mother and big sister and considers them her bestest of friends. Seeing each other a few times each month and endless phone calls keeps them closer than ever. Erin also has a very large extended family that does frequent family reunions which are always a blast.
Will grew up in a family of 8. He was the 2nd born of 6 children. Will is extremely close with all of his family and they all get together a few times each month. Every time Will’s family is together, it is always loud and chaotic, but so fun. There is never a dull moment. His family continues to grow as his siblings get older and have spouses, and eventually kids, so a large space for hangouts is needed! Most of Will’s extended family is out of state, however they visit often.
We are very fortunate to live within a very diverse city and our daily lives reflect the richness in cultures we have here. Both of our workplaces embrace diversity, allowing us to build meaningful relationships with colleagues from various backgrounds. One of Erin’s coworkers was adopted from Guatemala. Will, who works in the trades, has many friends from Venezuela, and he is also currently learning how to speak Spanish. We are committed to raising a child with an open mind and heart, celebrating their unique heritage, and ensuring they are surrounded by diverse perspectives and experiences.
We have 5 pets, which may seem like a lot, but within Erin’s field of work many of them were rescues in need of homes. We have 2 dogs, one a German shepherd mix, and the other a full German shepherd. Our dogs our both rescues and we love them with our whole hearts. They are amazing dogs and both have been around many children. We also have 3 cats, who all were also rescues. Our kitties are calm and sweet and great cuddlers. Our fur babies are very important to us and go everywhere we go.
Erin’s family has always been big on going up north and vacationing there. They had a family cabin in Traverse City where they would frequently spend summer days on Rennie Lake, or they would camp at the Timber Ridge campground. Erin wants to do the same for her future family and take frequent get-aways to northern Michigan. Her family also participated in an annual canoe marathon. Although they didn’t actually canoe themselves, they would stay up all night long and follow the canoe racers 120 miles. Erin has since gotten Will into the tradition and are both eager to continue to go yearly.
Will’s family loved to spend as much time together and make as many memories as possible. They had family all over the United States, however many of them lived in Texas, so they would visit quite frequently. But really, they loved making memories in their home and discovering new things in their hometown. Many nights they would do karaoke in the living room, or have dance competitions. Will and Erin intend to do the same with their future family, because making wonderful memories in their home is so very important to them.
Thank you for taking the time to read about us and learn who we are. We are so excited to become parents and promise to provide a life filled with love, stability, and support. We will always honor your role in your child’s story and carry your trust with deep gratitude.
