From Us to You

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn about us. While we cannot fully know the emotions you may be carrying, we recognize that considering an adoption plan comes from a place of extraordinary love, courage, and hope. We want you to know that we hold the deepest respect for you and the thoughtful decision you are making for your child.

If you choose us, your child will always know the story of how they came into our family. They will grow up understanding that adoption began with love and that a remarkable woman made a selfless decision in hopes of creating opportunities for their future. We will honor your child’s story with openness, honesty, and respect, helping them develop a strong sense of identity and pride in who they are.

Our home is filled with warmth, laughter, encouragement, and unconditional love. We believe childhood should be a place where curiosity is celebrated, emotions are welcomed, dreams are supported, and every milestone—big or small—is cherished. We value kindness, empathy, education, family traditions, and creating memories that last a lifetime. Most importantly, we will provide a stable, secure home where your child is accepted exactly as they are and encouraged to become the unique person they are meant to be.

Brian’s own adoption at six weeks old has given him a lifelong appreciation for the gift of family. His experience inspires him to provide another child with the same love, stability, and opportunities he received growing up. Christina has devoted her career as a counselor to helping others heal, grow, and discover their strengths. Together, we dream of sharing the joys of parenthood, supporting a child through every stage of life, and building a family rooted in compassion, patience, and unconditional love.

Although we have never met, we already feel immense respect for you. Thank you for considering us as you make this deeply personal decision. If we are blessed to become your child’s parents, we promise to love them wholeheartedly every day of our lives, celebrate who they are, and provide a forever home where they will always know they belong.

With gratitude and hope,
Brian & Christina

Why We Are Choosing to Adopt

Our decision to pursue adoption is deeply meaningful and personal to both of us. For Brian, adoption is not just something we are choosing—it is part of his own life story. Brian was adopted at just six weeks old, and that experience shaped the loving, stable life he has lived. Because of this, he carries a profound sense of gratitude and a heartfelt desire to “pay it forward” by offering that same opportunity to another child. Adoption, to him, is a wonderful beginning, one that he hopes to help create for a child in need of a safe and loving home.

For Christina, both her personal values and her professional identity as a counselor and humanitarian have guided her toward adoption. She has spent her life supporting others through growth, healing, and life transitions, and she feels deeply called to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life. Becoming an adoptive parent is a natural extension of who she is, someone who nurtures, protects, and helps others thrive. She is committed to providing a stable, compassionate, and emotionally supportive home where a child feels witnessed, valued, and deeply loved.

Together, we share a strong desire to grow our family and experience the joy and responsibility of co-parenting. We have had experience fostering a child in our home before and now want to have one of our own. We look forward to creating a home filled with love, laughter, learning, and connection. We are excited about the everyday moments: reading bedtime stories, celebrating milestones, supporting dreams, and building traditions that create a strong sense of belonging.

Lifestyle

Our weekly routine is centered around spending quality time together, creating a stable home, and enjoying the simple moments that make family life so meaningful. Christina works from home four days each week, which allows her the flexibility to be present throughout the day and enjoy everyday moments with a child—whether that’s reading books, playing, exploring outside, working on creative activities, or simply sharing cuddles and conversation. Brian works Monday through Friday until 5:00 p.m., so evenings and weekends are dedicated to family time. We are also fortunate that Christina’s mom lives nearby and looks forward to being an active part of a child’s life. She would be available to provide loving support, supervision, playtime, and another caring adult relationship during the day whenever needed.

At the end of each workday, we reconnect as a family by preparing and sharing dinner together, talking about our day, and enjoying a relaxing evening at home. We imagine these evenings filled with bedtime stories, bath time, and creating the comforting routines that help a child feel safe and loved. Weekends are our time to slow down and enjoy one another. Sometimes that means relaxing at home, watching movies, cooking together, or working on projects around the house. Other weekends find us exploring all that our coastal North Carolina community has to offer. We love visiting the beach, walking along the shore, building sandcastles, flying kites, visiting parks and playgrounds, exploring the aquarium, attending local festivals, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. While every week has its own rhythm, our greatest joy comes from being together.

About Christina

I was born and raised in Georgia, but North Carolina has been my home for most of my life. And it’s where I have built the life and home I cherish today. I consider myself a warm, kindhearted person who generally enjoys being there for others, whether that means offering a listening ear, encouragement, or support when someone needs it most. I love all things creative and can happily spend hours exploring arts and craft stores like Michael’s or Hobby Lobby, finding inspiration for new projects and ways to make our home beautiful, cozy, and welcoming, including baking treats that permeates the house with delicious smells.

I can’t wait to share those simple joys with the child by making arts and crafts together, baking their favorite desserts, decorating for holidays, and creating traditions that become treasured memories.

About Brian

I’d like to share a little about myself. I was adopted when I was still an infant, and I want to do the same and pay forward all that was given to me. This is deeply personal, as I know what it is like to be an adopted child. I was born in Virginia and joined the Army when I was 20 years old. While serving, I had the opportunity to travel all over the world. I settled in North Carolina after the Army and then met Christina.

I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, skiing, and being on the water. I also enjoy watching sports on TV, especially soccer and hockey. A fun fact about me is that I am a fluent French speaker. J’espère que vous aimez notre vidéo. Merci.

Our Home

We are fortunate to live in beautiful coastal North Carolina, where there is no shortage of opportunities for family fun, exploration, and making lifelong memories. The beach is just a short drive from our home, making it easy to enjoy activities like building sandcastles, flying kites, fishing, boating, collecting seashells, visiting local aquariums, or simply taking peaceful walks along the shore throughout the year.

We live in a relatively new four-bedroom home in a welcoming, family-friendly suburban neighborhood where neighbors know one another, children play safely outdoors, and families often gather and connect. Within our neighborhood is a scenic lake where we enjoy watching ducks, turtles, and a variety of birds, providing wonderful opportunities to appreciate nature together. Our community also offers several parks and playgrounds, excellent public libraries, quality medical centers, convenient shopping, and locally owned restaurants, all just minutes from home.

We love that our neighborhood provides the perfect balance of a peaceful, safe environment and easy access to activities that encourage learning, adventure, creativity, and quality family time. We believe it is an ideal place for a child to grow, explore their interests, build lasting friendships, and always feel a sense of belonging and community.

Our Village

One of the greatest gifts we can offer a child is not only a loving home, but also a caring community of people who are excited to welcome them with open arms. Family, close friends, and our church community are an important part of our lives, and we know a child placed with us would be embraced, celebrated, and deeply loved by everyone around us.

Christina’s mom lives just a short distance from our home and is looking forward to being an active and loving presence in a child’s life. We are also fortunate to have other supportive family members and close friends who are eager to welcome a new little one into our family. Many of our closest friends are already raising young children, and we look forward to watching those friendships grow into wonderful playdates, birthday celebrations, family outings, and lasting childhood memories.

We are especially grateful to be friends with a couple who have also built their family through adoption. Their experience gives us another source of encouragement, understanding, and support as we begin our own adoption journey. We believe it will be meaningful for our child to know another family whose story includes adoption and to see adoption celebrated as one of the many beautiful ways families are formed.

Our church community is another source of love, encouragement, and belonging. It is a place where children are welcomed, nurtured, and surrounded by caring people who invest in one another’s lives. We look forward to raising a child within this supportive community, where they will have opportunities to build friendships, learn important values, and know they are surrounded by people who genuinely care about their growth, well-being, and happiness. Together, we believe these relationships will provide a strong foundation of love, security, and connection that will support our child throughout their life.

Our Values

Our lives are guided by a set of values that shape how we treat others, make decisions, and build our home. While we believe these values are important to talk about, we feel they are even more important to demonstrate through our everyday actions. We hope to raise a child in a home where they experience love, kindness, consistency, and encouragement every day.

Service to others is a value that is especially meaningful to us. Through Christina’s career as a counselor and Brian’s years of military service, we have each dedicated our lives to helping and supporting others. We hope to teach a child that even small acts of kindness and compassion can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Whether it is helping a neighbor, volunteering in our community, or simply treating others with empathy and respect, we want service to become a natural part of our family’s way of life.

Family is at the heart of everything we do. We believe a child thrives when they know they are deeply loved, accepted, and supported without condition. We are committed to creating a home that offers stability, dependable routines, open communication, and a safe place where a child can always express themselves, ask questions, and know they belong.

We also value education and lifelong personal growth. We hope to nurture a child’s natural curiosity by encouraging learning, creativity, problem-solving, and the confidence to pursue their interests and dreams. We believe creativity and self-expression are essential parts of a healthy, fulfilling life. Whether through art, music, storytelling, imaginative play, or exploring nature, we want to encourage a child to express themselves freely, discover their unique gifts, and develop confidence in who they are.

At the same time, we believe self-care is an important life skill. We want a child to understand the importance of caring for both their physical and psychological well-being by making time for rest, play, healthy habits, meaningful relationships, and expressing their feelings in healthy ways.

Our greatest hope is that these values become part of our child’s foundation—not because they are told what to believe, but because they experience these values every day through the love, care, and example we strive to provide as a family.

Our Promise to You

We are the kind of parents who will provide a child with unconditional love, steady guidance, and a lifelong sense of belonging. Our goal is to create a home where a child feels safe to laugh, learn, ask questions, make mistakes, and always know they are accepted for exactly who they are. We want to be parents who listen with empathy, encourage curiosity, celebrate individuality, and help our child develop confidence, resilience, kindness, and compassion. We believe in balancing loving support with gentle guidance, teaching important values while allowing a child the freedom to discover their own unique personality, interests, and dreams.

More than anything, we are looking forward to sharing life’s everyday moments together. We dream about bedtime stories, family dinners, holiday traditions, birthday celebrations, first days of school, beach adventures, creative art projects, cheering from the sidelines of activities they enjoy, and simply being present for all of the little moments that make childhood so special. We look forward to watching a child discover the world with wonder and excitement and having the privilege of experiencing it alongside them.

We are also excited to help our child grow into a confident, caring, and capable adult. We hope to encourage a love of learning, creativity, kindness, and service while providing a stable foundation where they always know they are deeply loved and supported. We want our child to understand that our home is a place where they can always return for comfort, encouragement, and acceptance, no matter where life takes them.

Becoming parents is not simply the next chapter of our lives. It is the greatest privilege we can imagine.

Our Traditions

We love a reason to celebrate and be festive, whether for a birthday, a holiday, or a special milestone. October starts our most-enjoyed time of the year, and it is also when we put up our tree. We start with a black tree decorated for Halloween, then transition it into Fall through November, and then create a Christmas tree. In February we decorate the tree for Mardi Gras, and we take it down once Mardi Gras has passed. The tree stays in our living room for four months, from October through February. We also celebrate the end of the work week with a pizza and movie night every Friday.
