Lauren Lorber – Attorney at Law

From birth, Lauren was destined to help people through the miracle of adoption. As the older sister to five adopted siblings, her passion for adoption followed her through her professional and legal career. Lauren attended the University of California, Irvine, and earned a degree in Health Policy. Determined to represent those without a voice in our child welfare system, Lauren then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School and graduated Cum Laude with a Certificate in Children’s Rights.

Lauren’s legal experience in adoption is diverse and extensive. Lauren served as a Child Advocacy Legal Intern for Whittier Law School’s Center for Children’s Rights, where she represented clients of low income and special needs in guardianships and adoptions. Lauren also worked for Voices for America’s Children, a children’s rights lobbyist group located in Washington, D.C., advocating for children across the country on Capitol Hill.

Lauren has utilized every resource available to her to advocate for our children’s best interests, and serve as a voice to those that are too often unheard. Lauren’s article on Constitutional Violations in State Laws Regarding Private Domestic Adoptions was published in Whittier’s Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.

Lauren joined Adoption Network’s team to set the highest standard for adoption professionals throughout the country, to serve as a voice to those who would otherwise be unheard, and to ultimately reform how adoptions are conducted in the United States.Outside of her career, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, practicing yoga, and volunteering to help children in our foster care system.
