Dear Expectant Mother,

We are Jade and Tori. We can only imagine the difficulty of the decision you are making and we only want what’s best for you and for your child. Our family will provide an environment that fosters joy and support.

We have been married for 7 years. We met at church and have been in love ever since. We work hard on our relationship with each other through honest communication. We do this primarily to make sure our home is a safe place for our children and as an example for them. Family is the most important thing in this world.

We have struggled with fertility our whole marriage and after 4 years of fertility treatments, failed attempts, and 2 miscarriages we were blessed with our son Theo. He was born in March of 2018. He is fun loving and always curious. He loves to meet new people and shares his smile with everyone. A year and a half later through another round of IVF, Zoey entered our lives in November of 2019.

Tori is a stay at home mom and she enjoys every minute of it. She loves to spend quality time with Theo and Zoey. She has many talents and hobbies. If she isn’t crocheting she is working on photography or developing her woodworking skills. Tori recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Tori’s father was adopted into his family and this has helped drive the desire to adopt. He has been a great resource in understanding what the adoption process is like from the child’s perspective.

Jade works as a manager in the telecommunications industry and has been at his current job for 7 years. He also recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He spends as much time as he can with Theo and Zoey and does whatever he can to help around the house. His favorite game to play with our kids is hide and seek.

Ultimately we believe family is most important and have structured our lives to fit that purpose. We don’t know what the future has in store for us but we are ready and willing to take on the unknown and work through any and all trials that come our way as we have in the past. We will celebrate every blessing and do everything we can to ensure our children get the most out of life.

Thank you,
Tori and Jade

Q&A

Our Home & Neighborhood

We have a rambler style home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the top floor and we are building our basement to be able to have 3 more rooms, 1 more bathroom and a big play area. We have a big backyard for our kids to play in as well as a big front yard. There are a lot of playgrounds around us as well that we can take our kids to. Our neighborhood is an amazing place to raise kids. We have a lot of families with little children around us and even families with kids who are a little older. Since we have lived here our neighbors are always so willing to help us in any situation we are needing.

How We Met

Jade lived in Oregon when he grew up and Tori lived in Utah. While Jade was on his mission Jade’s family moved to the city that Tori lived in and when Jade got home we met. We have been married for 4 years now. We met in January of 2013 and hit it off. On our first date on the ride home, Jade asked Tori to be his girlfriend. We hung out every day after our first date. We were engaged in February of 2013 and got married in August of 2013. We moved to Portland for almost 3 years of our marriage. Even though we loved Portland very much we were told we should move to Utah. We now live 10 minutes away from Jade’s family and 1 hour away from Tori’s parents. Since we bought our house and moved in We bought a beautiful purebred husky - Zelda - and a kitten - Link - that looks exactly like our husky. They are the best of friends.

Our Families

Tori is the youngest of 3 girls and they are a super close family. They do everything they can to help each other through any difficult time as well as celebrate each other through each joyous occasion. They are all excited to share in our excitement of being able to add onto our family our family. Her family tries to do something at least 1 a month. Jade is the oldest of 2 boys and 2 girls. They have always been super close and his parents only live 10 minutes away. Jades extended family has a pizza night the first Tuesday of every month. They have been very supportive and helpful with us starting and adding to our family, both with our fertility treatment and now as we pursue adoption.
