Dear Expectant Mother,

First and foremost, we want to thank you for making the incredibly brave and selfless consideration to place your child with us. We are so thankful for the opportunity to grow our family, and we feel truly blessed to be considered by you. Please know that we will give your child a supportive, nurturing, loving home surrounded by a close-knit family who will bend over backwards to make sure your baby is happy, healthy, and safe. We cannot begin to imagine what you are going through while making this decision, but rest assured that your child will know how brave their mother was.

We have known each other for 15 years. When we were young, we were active together in karate, band, and other academic programs. We didn’t begin dating until after high school, but we immediately fell in love and married in 2015. After learning of some medical issues that would make it difficult, if not impossible to conceive, we decided that this may have been God’s way of telling us to pursue adoption. We live in a rural community in Tennessee – the same town where both of our immediate families live. The people here are kind and welcoming. Our town holds several festivals and parades every year, as well as a local farmers market every week in the summer. We live on Elizabeth’s family’s farm where we are the third generation to live in the home her grandparent’s built. We both teach high school, so we have a schedule that can be centered around our children. Will also works part-time as an RN, so he is current on all CPR and first aid certifications. Though neither of us will be staying at home full-time, all school breaks, holidays, and summers will be spent adventuring and learning together as a family.

Will is ready to show our child how to grow carrots in Tennessee soil, how to always win at Mario Kart, and how to build the best Dungeons and Dragons character. Elizabeth can’t wait to help your child grow their library, latch-hook the most beautiful rug for their own room, and how to love and nurture all living creatures. We are so excited to impart our love of music on him/her. Picking out his/her first instrument will be such an exciting time! If your child happens to be more athletic than us, we will learn everything we can and be present at every practice, game, or scrimmage cheering at the top of our lungs. Whatever makes your child happy and successful will always be our priority.

We have so many traditions in our family that we want to share with a child. Holidays are kid-centered events with Elizabeth’s extended family. Egg hunts and Christmas games are made specifically for all the littles, and your child would always be a part of that. In Will’s family, birthdays are grand celebrations. We plan to continue celebrating with special appearances from “Happy the Birthday Clown” which was started by Will’s grandmother when he was a small child. Annual Disney World vacations have been a part of our life since we began dating, and we want to share that love of imagination, wonder, and magic with your child. This is only a small sample of the life we plan fory our child, but we hope to never stop creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Our prayer for you is that you find peace, hope, and compassion. Should our lives forever be intertwined through adoption, we will always support your journey and provide you and your baby with nothing short of unconditional love and gratitude.

Q&A

Tell us about your home and neighborhood.

We live in the home Elizabeth’s grandparents build in 1976. Our home sits on the 40-acre family farm. Our neighborhood is full of families that have lived here for generations, making it a close-knit community.

When you have a 3-day weekend, what you like to do?

On long weekends, we sometimes like to take quick trips to the Smoky Mountains. We also love to spend long weekends watching movies at home or playing board games together.

Do you have pets? If so tell us about them?

We have four dogs and one cat. Our pets are our world. We love spoiling them and making them wear matching clothing. We also have a herd of farm rabbits that we enjoy playing with in the garden.

What do you hope to teach your child(ren)?

We hope to teach our children humility, faith, love, and kindness.

What will you tell your child about his or her birthmom?

We plan on being open and honest with our child about their story, but we hope his/her birthmother will guide us on what parts of her story she wants told and when.

Describe your last vacation and/or day trip

Our last vacation was a weekend trip to Indianapolis to visit Elizabeth’s extended family. We had a cookout, splashed around in a pool, and just enjoyed the company of family.
