From Us to You

We are eager and grateful to have this opportunity to share our hearts with you and express our deepest admiration for the courageous decision you face.

It has been ten wonderful years that we have been married and our love for each other has only grown stronger over time. Our relationship is built on trust, communication, and unwavering support for each other’s dreams and aspirations.

From the moment we married our heart’s desire was to grow our family and share our love and home with a precious child. Due to fertility issues, we embarked on the journey of adoption, and we cannot begin to express the joy and anticipation that fills our hearts as we imagine the possibility of becoming parents.

Our family and friends are close-knit and compassionate so your child will be surrounded by people who will shower them with love, affection, and guidance throughout their life. Our families and friends are excited about the thought of a new addition to our family, and they eagerly await the chance to welcome a little one into our lives.

We believe that every child is unique, and we can provide your child with a family life that is filled with unconditional love, laughter, support, encouragement, and family values. Every moment with your child will be cherished, from the small daily triumphs to the significant milestones, and we will be there to support and guide them along the way.

Education is something we both hold dear, and we will provide your child with the best education and a supportive learning environment. We will provide them with the ability and opportunities to explore their interests, embrace their passions, and discover their true potential, enabling them to grow into a confident and capable but most of all, happy person.

As parents, we dream of a life of adventures and explorations, that include family vacations, outdoor activities, and quality time spent together. We will encourage a sense of curiosity and wonder, fostering an environment where they can freely express themselves and pursue their dreams.

Thank you for considering us to possibly be a part of your journey and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

With love,
Randy and Stephanie

Why We are Choosing to Adopt

Our path to parenthood has been unsuccessful to this point.  We found that we both have fertility issues and that becoming pregnant would be very difficult.  Those challenges have not stopped the desire of our hearts to love and provide for a child the same way that we were raised and so we have chosen to begin our journey of adoption.

How We Met

We met at a mutual friend’s daughter’s high school graduation party. We were introduced to one another and it took a few weeks after that first meeting, but eventually, we went out on a couple of dates and the rest they say is history. We affectionately refer to Cara as “Cupid” and are so glad she was persistent.

About Stephanie, by Randy

Stephanie is such an amazing wife to share my life with. She is such a kind and loving human being and I am so proud to be able to have her by my side in all that we do. We complement each other well. Stephanie loves Jesus and was the one that ultimately led me to Jesus as well. She loves kids and most of her career has been dedicated to working with children as an educator and counselor and I know she will be a wonderful mother.  She is a fantastic listener, and she loves to have fun and laugh. She has an adventurous spirit and is willing to try just about anything at least once. She loves anything outdoors: hiking, camping, traveling, gardening, taking our niece and nephew to the park, or just reading a book in the backyard. I trust her with everything and there is nothing that I don’t share with her, and I can’t wait to share in the joy of raising a child together with her.

About Randy, by Stephanie

Randy is a remarkable man, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him. He is a caring and supportive husband who goes above and beyond to make me feel loved and cherished. I wanted to marry someone kind and Randy is always kind to me. His love for both nature and animals are two of the qualities that immediately drew me to him. His sense of humor brings light and joy to our lives. Our journey together has been filled with laughter, tears, and growth, and I am excited to continue building a beautiful life with him as my husband and best friend. We have worked very hard during our marriage to learn how to communicate with each other and how to make each other feel truly appreciated. There is no one on this earth that I would rather be with. He helps me to remember what is important and the world is a better place because Randy is in it. He is the cutest Uncle to my niece and nephew, and I cannot wait to share the joy of seeing him become a “Dad”.

Home & Neighborhood

A house is just a house until it is filled with people (and pets) that you love. We love hosting and it was a recent dinner that we shared that we had made the decision to add a little one to our family. It is in these moments when a house becomes a home.

We intentionally moved here from California in search of a safe environment to raise children in, exemplary education, and a community rooted in family values. Our tree-lined subdivision is clean, beautifully landscaped, and is full of families raising young children. When the weather is nice, afternoons consist of the sounds of kids playing in the greenbelts or riding bikes up and down the sidewalks. Our neighborhood has a recreation center, swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and multiple fishing ponds.

Our church is right down the street, and we like to be active in our community. We have a creek that runs through the middle of town, several nature parks, and plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors. We also have an incredible park system that offers youth sports such as soccer and baseball, concerts in the park, and community activities.

We also have a large urban city 20 minutes away from us that offers museums, a zoo, cultural opportunities, and an array of restaurants and entertainment options.

Our Lifestyle

Recently, we made an intentional decision to leave behind high-stress careers to focus on the things that are more important to us. This allowed us to improve our quality of life, focus more on our families, and spend more time with each other. Randy works just down the road and Stephanie works remotely from home which is awesome because it allows us flexibility with work hours and more free time at home. Our relationship is a top priority to the both of us and you will usually find us together cooking, hiking, exploring new restaurants, riding bikes, and spending time with family. The beach is one of our favorite places! We also enjoy the simpler things in life like watching a movie together or putting together a puzzle. In our free time, we love to garden. Our landscape is under constant renovation, and we take pride in our home looking nice. Flowers are important to us and make us happy.

Our parents committed their lives to making sure that we had the best childhood possible. We traveled, we played sports, we had friends and most importantly, we had parents who were supportive of everything that we did. Your child will always be our main focus and we will dedicate our lives to raising them and we are looking forward to a life where we can put the needs of a child above our own.

Our Families & Friends

Our family and friends are everything to us. Our parents have celebrated 45+ years of marriage to one another, an amazing accomplishment that we know is not common today. They both have provided us with the blueprint for a stable, kind, and loving relationship that we seek to replicate daily. We spend time with them on a weekly basis and one of our favorite things in life is being with our family. We go to them regularly for advice on serious matters and always value their opinion. We admire that in a world full of hardship and broken relationships, they continue to work on their marriages and love each other just as much today as they did the day they were married.

It’s funny, both of our parents are very much alike. They are pretty much inseparable and we’re not sure what one would do without the other. Our moms are some of the sweetest and most loving people we know. Our dads are hard workers who love to tinker with things. Our dads are both so loving and caring to our moms. They have served as role models, and we have learned how to have a loving and rewarding marriage from watching them. Our relationship with our parents is rooted in admiration, affection, trust, and love. Both sets are so excited to be grandparents.

Our parents and siblings all live within a 20-minute radius of us and we see all of them weekly. Stephanie’s brother and family live one street over which means that the cousins will be just around the corner.

Even though we’ve only been in Indiana for a year, we are building new friendships. We continue to remain close with friends in California that we have developed friendships with throughout the years. Some of these friends have already been out in the last few months to visit.

Our Faith

Church and our relationship with God are essential to us, and providing a loving environment for your child to grow spiritually is very important to us as well.

Stephanie has known Jesus her whole life and Randy came to know Jesus 12 years ago. At the core of our Christian faith is the belief in unconditional love. We pledge to love your child unconditionally, offering them a home full of love, warmth, and understanding.

As parents, we promise to nurture your child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being in both happy and challenging times, and our faith will guide us as parents.

Family Traditions

Holidays and traditions are important to us because it’s a time to be with our families and loved ones. We are eager to begin a new chapter sharing with your child our family traditions and making our own family traditions and memories.

Thanksgiving and Christmas we celebrate with both sides of the family. Thanksgiving always includes a full dinner with all the fixings. Randy and his dad man the BBQ to heat anything that may not fit in the oven. Football is always on in the background. Randy and his dad tag team carving the turkey. Christmas always includes cinnamon pull-apart bread, gift opening, naps, and more eating.

The Fourth of July is another holiday that has become important to us. Our neighborhood meets at a home where we all BBQ and eat together. After dinner, we go to another friend’s house to fish at the pond, eat dessert, and create a massive fireworks show.

Racial & Cultural Diversity

If your child is of a different ethnicity or race, we will educate ourselves about the background and culture of your child. Developing a healthy self-identity will be a priority for us and we will do this by exposing ourselves to and asking questions of parents and adults who are of the same race and culture. As a parent, it is our responsibility to make sure that they have as many opportunities as possible to interact with people of the same race and culture and to develop a positive self-image. We understand that so much of a child’s identity is tied to their race and that it is important for them to be exposed to friends, adults, and media that share their race or ethnicity.

We promise to raise your child to know the incredible love you have for them that led to their joining our family and the selflessness of your decision. We will embrace and share any information you want, as we believe that their history will help nurture a strong and loving bond.

We promise that you will always have a special place in our hearts and that your act of love will forever shape the destiny of our family and we will be forever thankful for the bond we share through your precious child.
