Why We are Choosing to Adopt

It has been our dream to become parents, and we have tried for years to have a child. In 2015, we did IVF, which didn’t work for us. Then in 2019, we went for embryo adoption, and they transferred two embryos, which both implanted. Unfortunately, we miscarried after five months. It was a tough time, and we struggled with our losses, but things happen, and only God knows why it didn’t happen for us.

We decided to adopt because even as we get older, we know that we want to build a family. We want to share everything we have with our child. We decided on newborn adoption because we want the opportunity to teach them, guide them, and experience all the special moments raising a child brings.

About Angelica, by Deyvi

Angelica is a beautiful woman who always takes care of me and has my best interests at heart. She always does the best for me, and I know she will do the same with a baby the same as she does for me. She is so excited to have a baby and together we will teach our baby and help one another.

The only thing that would make her happier and more complete than the life we have together will be to have a child in our lives.

About Deyvi, by Angelica

I am so excited to see my husband become a dad. This has been our big dream since we got married. He is so lovely with babies – even my niece wants to spend all her time playing with him when he visits. He has three nephews who all love him as well, with one sharing a special bond with him.

Deyvi already has many ideas on how to share our time with the baby, and when we speak of the day we will have a child, he never once complains of what could be difficult and that it would be wonderful when we have one in our lives, and he always expresses how he is going to support and help our family to get ahead.

My husband is very smart and extremely knowledgeable and dreams of the day when he can educate and teach a child. I trust my husband that he will help me to guide a child in their studies when they are older.

Our Families and Friends

Angelica is the baby of her family with 9 siblings total, including 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Her mom passed on in 2010, which was sad for her as she never had a chance to see her with a child. Her dad lives in Mexico where he truly enjoys being.

Angelica has about 26 nieces and nephews, many of which are older. There are still a few babies among them who she loves to give all her love to. When she visits with them, she enjoys spending a lot of time playing with them.

Deyvi’s family is a bit smaller – He has 2 sisters and 1 brother as well as 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Though not as big as Angelica’s, there is plenty of love to go around.

Our Traditions

We really enjoy Christmas and New Years! On Christmas, we always decide on one separate day we spend with each of our families and enjoy a festive meal together. Both of our families have different traditions, so it is fun experiencing them together. Everyone gathers to open gifts, and it doesn’t matter if it is big or small – everyone receives a present. We also love gathering with friends and family to bring in the New Year.

Our Home

We live away from the city, surrounded by farms. All the houses are spaced out, unlike in the city. Our closest neighbors have three children, and we all get along.

As for our home, I think you’d fall in love with it if you visited. It’s big, with more than enough space for a child to play in the big yard and four porches outside.

The house has three bedrooms, which are equally beautiful. We haven’t decided which one will be the baby’s room yet because it is hard to choose. Maybe we will end up using one for a nursery and another for a playroom. Everything is on one main floor, but we have a bonus upstairs area where we can relax and watch TV, and lots of space for a baby to play there too.

There are good schools in the nearby city, and we are willing to find the best one for your child. We are Catholic and our local church is about 35 minutes away.

We have a few friends who live about 40 minutes away. They don’t have children, but we are looking forward to meeting more parents and enjoying new experiences with them after the baby arrives. We know our lives will change, and we are excited about the possibilities.

Lifestyle

We own our own business, so we are able to work from our office at home. Though our business is successful and keeps us busy Monday through Friday, having it in our own home affords us more time with the baby than we would have if we worked away from it.

Fridays after 5pm we forget about work and enjoy the rest of the day and weekend together. We love cooking from home as well as going out for dinner. Saturdays we like to drive our Corvette downtown and we go to car shows. Some Saturday afternoons we invite our friends to our home to enjoy dinner and each other’s company. On Sundays we take a trip downtown, then come back home to relax.
