We are Tim and Jen from sunny California. We have been together since we were teenagers in 1996. We were inseparable after our first date, and after a long and wonderful journey together, we were married in 2005. Shortly after we were married, we wanted to share our love and start a family, but were unsuccessful. In 2009 we decided adoption would be a wonderful choice for us, and here we are awaiting a wonderful gift that can be given to us.

We will be celebrating our twelfth wedding anniversary this October and would very much like to complete our family with a child. After many years and many disappointments of infertility treatments, we realized God must have a different path for us to follow in order to fulfill our dream of having a family. Our love of the mountains inspired us to purchase a vacation home in a nearby mountain resort area. It is within walking distance to a nature center that has wonderful programs and activities for children and families. The ski programs they have for children are superb and we can’t wait to share the joys of skiing with a child of our own. We also love the beach and purchased a time-share in Hawaii. We have enjoyed vacationing at beaches in Hawaii and Mexico, and look forward to exchanging our timeshare to visit some of Patrick’s relatives in Ireland.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little more about us. We are Adam and Jackie, and we have a wonderful American Eskimo dog named Jeter, whom we’ve had since he was 10 weeks old. He is now seven. For several years we have wanted to expand our family even further but the pitter-patter of little feet have not come. After completing some infertility treatments, Adam and I have decided to grow our family through adoption. We love children and are excited to have a child of our own. We cannot wait to have the sleepless nights, the midnight feedings, the diaper changes and all the other less than glamorous jobs that come with being Mommy and Daddy.

My husband’s name is Brian and mine is Rebecca. We wish that you could be sitting here in our family room with us so that we could give you a big hug and express to you how much your sacrifice really means to us. Brian and I have always believed that a person never fully recognizes how powerful their inner strength is until they are met with what seems an insurmountable adversity. You have been faced with making a decision that will affect the rest of your life and that of the precious child you carry. The strength that you have shown at this difficult time is astounding. Your baby is a miracle growing inside of you and it will be the most precious gift that Brian and I will ever receive. You have our utmost respect and we are in awe of the selfless love you have for your child. We have been praying for the day when you would enter into our lives and forever be a part of our hearts.

This is perhaps the most difficult letter we have ever had to write but it cannot compare to the important decision you have to make. You are a very courageous, mature and strong person who has to decide who can best raise your child. We have nothing but respect for you and can only imagine the emotions you are going through.
